  • FA Wide Receiver #85
Rams WR Lance McCutcheon is active for Week 3 against the Cardinals.
It’s interesting, as this will be McCutcheon’s first game-day activation following his huge preseason where he made the 53-man roster as an undrafted rookie. Perhaps he’ll push Ben Skowronek for snaps in three-wide sets. Inactive for the Rams are S Jordan Fuller, CB Cobie Durant, QB Bryce Perkins, CB David Long, C Brian Allen, and CB Shaun Jolly.

  • FA Wide Receiver #85
Rams GM Les Snead hinted undrafted WR Lance McCutcheon could make the 53-man roster.
The 23-year-old rookie out of small-school Montana State caught 15 balls for 259 yards and two scores this summer. “Lance is doing his part to make it easy,” Snead said. "(Coach Sean McVay) likes his receivers, so it’s OK to have as many as possible.” McCutcheon won’t be re-draft relevant but cracking the Rams’ roster would make him worth a gander in Dynasty leagues.

  • FA Wide Receiver #85
Rams WR Lance McCutcheon caught five-of-six targets for 87 yards and two touchdowns in Los Angeles’ 29-22 preseason win over the Chargers.
60 of those yards came on a catch-and-run on the deep sideline where he went through a defender to catch the ball, then was able to avoid both the Chargers corner and safety and escape untouched for the score. He caught another touchdown in the fourth on a back shoulder ball where he came back through his corner to get the score. The Rams don’t typically play guys they consider starters in the preseason, so take that for what it’s worth, but McCutcheon should be on the fantasy radar if injuries pop up in Los Angeles.

  • FA Wide Receiver #85
Montana State senior WR Lance McCutcheon caught five passes for 106 yards and a touchdown in the 38-10 loss to North Dakota State in the FCS National Championship.
The Bobcats were hit with a tough blow as starting quarterback Tommy Mellott left the game on the first drive and was replaced by Tucker Rovig. The team was already going against the best scoring defense in the FCS, and it showed they could not handle it. Rovig had some flashes, including a long completion deep within his own territory with the help of Hutchinson (6'3"/202). Still, this could not sustain a long drive in this game. Finally, Montana State was able to find the end zone with five minutes left in the game when Rovig connected with Hutchinson for a 28-yard touchdown.
