Ravens TE Isaiah Likely (foot) is questionable for Week 4 against the Chiefs.
Team reporter Jeff Zrebiec believes “Likely has a very good chance of making his season debut Sunday” after practicing in full on Friday. In June, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he wants to see Likely be “an All-Pro” this season. The team has handled Likely’s recovery smartly, so they are unlikely to throw caution to the wind. He can only be started as a boom-bust TE2 against the Chiefs. He should be rostered everywhere. Ravens LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle), OLB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) and NT Travis Jones (knee) are all questionable. Ravens FB Patrick Ricard (calf), DT Broderick Washington (ankle) and DT Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) have been ruled out. Madubuike leads the team with 10 quarterback pressures and two sacks despite sitting out in Week 3. Madubuike, Washington and Jones anchor Baltimore’s 3-4 defense. Patrick Mahomes should be very comfortable in the pocket this week.
  • BAL Cornerback #2
Ravens CB Nate Wiggins (groin) was not seen practicing on Thursday.
Wiggins returned an interception for 61 yards in Week 2 against the Browns, prompting an exuberant response from teammate, CB Chidobe Awuzie, who “jumped on Wiggins’ back and accidentally took him to the ground.” ESPN’s Jamison Hensley said, “Wiggins did not appear to be full strength the rest of the game,” and began exhibiting a limp in-game after that. Ravens OLB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) could miss multiple games and DT Nnamdi Madubuike (ankle) is also hurt. Neither player practiced on Thursday. Madubuike leads the team with 10 quarterback pressures and two sacks. They face the Lions on Monday night.
  • BAL Outside Linebacker #53
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Kyle Van Noy could miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 2’s win over the Browns.
This would be a brutal blow to a Ravens defense that was led by Van Noy’s 12.5 sacks last season. The veteran pass rusher exited Sunday’s game in the second quarter and did not return to the field, and could now miss multiple weeks with the injury. Fowler reports that Van Noy “is hoping the injury is short-term,” but we should have more clarity in the coming days. Van Noy has totaled four tackles in the two games he has appeared in this season.
  • BAL Outside Linebacker #53
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring) won’t return in Week 2’s game against the Browns.
Van Noy pulled up on a play in the second quarter of Sunday’s contest against the Browns and immediately went to the sideline. It was announced early in the third quarter that Van Noy would not return, as his day ends with just one tackle on the ledger.
  • BAL Linebacker #0
Roquan Smith (hamstring) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 13 against the Eagles.
Smith practiced in full on Friday, his first such practice of the week, before being removed from the injury report. Smith will be needed to slow the Eagles’ ferocious rushing offense. Fellow starting LB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring/neck) is unfortunately listed as doubtful though.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (eye/groin) did not practice Wednesday.
Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone in Week 1 but played through the issue in Week 2. His DNP on Wednesday is either maintenance for the eye issue or primarily related to the groin injury, which is a new addition to his injury status. Van Noy only practiced once last week before playing, so his participation on Wednesday doesn’t mean much regarding his status for Week 3.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (eye) is active for Week 2 against the Raiders.
Van Noy suffered an orbital bone fracture in Week 1 but returned to practice on Friday and is ready to go for Week 1. Inactive for the Ravens are CB Nate Wiggins, OLB Adisa Isaac, OL Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, S Beau Brade, C Nick Samac, CB T.J. Tampa, and WR Devontez Walker.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Ravens are “optimistic” that LB Kyle Van Noy (eye) will play in Week 2 against the Raiders.
Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone in Week 1. He missed two practices to start the week but was back on the field for a limited session on Friday. The team listed him as questionable for Week 2. Van Noy playing through the injury will make a tough for Garnder Minshew and the Raiders even tougher. the veteran linebacker totaled nine sacks and two forced fumbles in 14 games for the Ravens last year.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
Ravens OLB Kyle Van Noy (eye) is questionable for Week 2 against the Raiders.
Rookie pass-rusher Adisa Isaac (hamstring) is listed as doubtful. Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone versus the Chiefs in Week 1. He was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday but returned for a limited session to close the week, giving him a shot at suiting up on Sunday. What at first sounded like a multi-week injury may now cost Van Noy no time at all. Even if he does miss Week 2, a Week 3 return would be a quick recovery from a serious injury.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (eye) did not practice Wednesday.
The news is both unfortunate and unsurprising after Van Noy was diagnosed with a fractured orbital bone injury that occurred in Week 1. A return date has yet to be provided but he is expected to be sidelined for a while.
