Roquan Smith (hamstring) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 13 against the Eagles.
Smith practiced in full on Friday, his first such practice of the week, before being removed from the injury report. Smith will be needed to slow the Eagles’ ferocious rushing offense. Fellow starting LB Kyle Van Noy (hamstring/neck) is unfortunately listed as doubtful though.

Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (eye/groin) did not practice Wednesday.
Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone in Week 1 but played through the issue in Week 2. His DNP on Wednesday is either maintenance for the eye issue or primarily related to the groin injury, which is a new addition to his injury status. Van Noy only practiced once last week before playing, so his participation on Wednesday doesn’t mean much regarding his status for Week 3.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (eye) is active for Week 2 against the Raiders.
Van Noy suffered an orbital bone fracture in Week 1 but returned to practice on Friday and is ready to go for Week 1. Inactive for the Ravens are CB Nate Wiggins, OLB Adisa Isaac, OL Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, S Beau Brade, C Nick Samac, CB T.J. Tampa, and WR Devontez Walker.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Ravens are “optimistic” that LB Kyle Van Noy (eye) will play in Week 2 against the Raiders.
Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone in Week 1. He missed two practices to start the week but was back on the field for a limited session on Friday. The team listed him as questionable for Week 2. Van Noy playing through the injury will make a tough for Garnder Minshew and the Raiders even tougher. the veteran linebacker totaled nine sacks and two forced fumbles in 14 games for the Ravens last year.

Ravens OLB Kyle Van Noy (eye) is questionable for Week 2 against the Raiders.
Rookie pass-rusher Adisa Isaac (hamstring) is listed as doubtful. Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone versus the Chiefs in Week 1. He was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday but returned for a limited session to close the week, giving him a shot at suiting up on Sunday. What at first sounded like a multi-week injury may now cost Van Noy no time at all. Even if he does miss Week 2, a Week 3 return would be a quick recovery from a serious injury.

Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (eye) did not practice Wednesday.
The news is both unfortunate and unsurprising after Van Noy was diagnosed with a fractured orbital bone injury that occurred in Week 1. A return date has yet to be provided but he is expected to be sidelined for a while.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy suffered a fractured orbital bone in Thursday’s Week 1 loss to the Chiefs.
Van Noy will undergo further testing to determine how much time he will miss, but the veteran linebacker is almost certain to miss multiple weeks with the injury. Van Noy joined the Ravens in late September of last year and turned in one of his most productive seasons as a pro. In 14 games, Van Noy posted a career-high nine sacks while also tallying nine TFLs — the second-highest total in his career. Giants tight end Daniel Bellinger suffered a fractured orbital bone during Week 7 of his rookie season in 2022 and didn’t return until Week 13. It’s possible Van Noy is looking at a similar recovery.
  • BAL Linebacker #50
Ravens re-signed LB Kyle Van Noy to a two-year, $9 million contract.
The Ravens signed Van Noy to the practice squad in late September last season. The veteran pass rusher ended up totaling a career-high nine sacks in 14 games, nine TFLs, and two forced fumbles. With Jadeveon Clowney now in Carolina, the return of Van Noy gives the Ravens another veteran EDGE rusher to play opposite Odafe Oweh.
  • BAL Linebacker #50
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports Ravens are signing LB Kyle Van Noy to their active roster.
Signed to the Ravens practice squad earlier this week, Van Noy is now signed to the team’s active roster. He will provide relief to the banged-up Ravens defense. The 32-year-old played for the Chargers last season, recording five sacks. With linebackers Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo nursing injuries, the Ravens will utilize Van Noy’s services in Week 4 against the Browns.
  • BAL Linebacker #8
Ravens signed LB Kyle Van Noy to their practice squad.
With Baltimore experiencing multiple injuries on their defense, they turned to a veteran to help plug some holes. Van Noy, 32, played for the Chargers last season, appearing in all 17 games with 13 starts. He recorded five sacks, eight tackles for loss and nine quarterback hits while playing 70 percent of Los Angeles’ defensive snaps. While he will start out on the practice squad, the expectation is the veteran could be elevated to the active roster in a couple weeks if he can quickly get up to speed.
