Wake Forest has received a verbal commitment from redshirt senior DT Kobie Turner, formerly of Richmond.
Turner (6'3/285) has one year of eligibility remaining and will spend it at Wake Forest after being named an FCS All-American defensive tackle for his 2021 efforts. This season, Turner started eight games for Richmond, totaling 21 quarterback pressures and five sacks per Pro Football Focus to go with 27 tackles and two forced fumbles. In his three seasons as a starter at Richmond, Turner has totaled 11 sacks and 70 tackles.
