Raiders WR Kevin McMahan didn’t suffer a serious injury during Sunday’s game.
While it appeared he hurt his shoulder, this year’s Mr. Irrelevent left the game because he bit his tongue.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
Raiders WR Kevin McMahan appeared to injure his shoulder in the third quarter of Sunday’s Hall of Fame game on a hit by Eagles DB Joselio Hanson.
Mr. Irrelevant 2006 was on the ground for about 30 second before walking off the field under his own power. The injury didn’t appear serious.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
Raiders signed 2006 Mr. Irrelevant, WR Kevin McMahan of Maine, to an undisclosed contract.
He’ll begin camp low on the depth chart, but McMahan is 6-2 and runs a 4.4. He’s someone to keep an eye on in dynasty leagues.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
The Texans worked out free agent wide receivers Kevin McMahan, Jovan Witherspoon, and Justin Gatlin on Tuesday.
The gold medal winner in the 100-meter dash, Gatlin is the story here but probably won’t be signed now that Houston activated Jerome Mathis. Philadelphia showed interest in Gatlin this offseason. Witherspoon went to camp with the Jets. McMahan was this year’s Mr. Irrelevant.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
Raiders selected Maine WR Kevin McMahan with the No. 255 and final pick of the 2006 NFL draft.
It seems fitting that Maine would produce Mr. Irrelevent. Even if he doesn’t make the Raiders, McMahan will be the guest of honor for the most bizarre tradition in sports: Mr. Irrelevent week in Newport, CA this June.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
    Colts waived WR Kevin McMahan.
McMahan, last year’s Mr. Irrelevant, possesses an intriguing skill set but has yet to make any impact in the NFL. He does have practice squad eligibility remaining and could catch on with another club in training camp.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
    Giants signed WR Kevin McMahan.
The 2006 Mr. Irrelevent is joining his third organization and is unlikely to make the final roster.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
Giants released WR Kevin McMahan; offensive linemen Justin Jones, Jon Dunn, Ryan Keenan and Matt Lentz; DEs Tommy Davis and Marquis Gunn; DT Tui Alailafaleula; LBs James Davis and Tyson Smith; CB Darren Barnett and P Cory Ohnesorge.
No major surprises in this group.
  • SEA Tight End
Chiefs waived TE Michael Allan, C Rob Smith, WR Kevin McMahan, OL Travis Leffew, G Ed Harrison, WR Sergio Joachim, WR Jabari Arthur, DE Jason Parker, DT Johnny Dingle, DT Derek Lokey, CB Rashad Barksdale, and K Connor Barth.
Allan was a seventh-rounder out of Whitworth last year. His profile coming out was a bit similar to Kevin Boss’, but Allan hasn’t mustered the same kind of magic. Barth’s release locks in Nick Novak as the NFL’s worst starting kicker.
  • CAR Wide Receiver
Chiefs signed WR Kevin McMahan, OT Ken Shackleford, LB E.J. Kuale, and FB Steven Jackson to two-year contracts.
All would ideally be camp bodies, but on a roster as weak as Kansas City’s the four have legitimate shots. Shackleford, in particular, is an intriguing add because of the Chiefs’ poor line depth. McMahan was Mr. Irrelevant in 2006.
