Raiders DL Tommy Kelly has been moved to right defensive end.
It looks like he’ll start there to begin the season, ahead of Kevin Huntley and rookies Quentin Moses and Jay Richardson. Kelly, who defensive line coach Keith Millard compares to Trevor Pryce, will kick inside on passing downs.
  • PIT Defensive Lineman
Kevin Huntley is penciled in as the Raiders’ starting right defensive end.
Oakland would rather see Jay Richardson or Quentin Moses claim the gig, but the 6-7 Huntley has terrific size and could be a force against the run. Incumbent starter Tyler Brayton will probably be a swing tackle-end this year.
  • FA Linebacker
Quentin Moses has been seeing most of the reps as the Raiders’ starting right defensive end during training camp.
He appears to have passed Kevin Huntley. Moses may come off the field on obvious running downs but could rack up a few sacks if he keeps the gig.
  • FA Linebacker
Third-round draft pick Quentin Moses will get a chance to be the Raiders’ starting right defensive end as a rookie.
Tyler Brayton has kicked inside. The winner of the Moses-Kevin Huntley battle isn’t likely to see many double teams opposite Derrick Burgess.
  • LV Wide Receiver
Raiders released WR Johnnie Morant, DE Kevin Huntley, and QB Jeff Otis.
Morant only caught eight passes in three years, but always managed to nab a roster spot because of his speed. Huntley had some production late last year and may get picked up. Otis is the only man in the Bay Area that wasn’t under consideration for the Raiders starting QB job.

    Falcons released DE Kevin Huntley.
Huntley, who was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Raiders in 2005, was signed by the Falcons after being released by Oakland in October. He had compiled four tackles in five games for Atlanta.

    Steelers signed DE Kevin Huntley.
Huntley was recently released by the Redskins. Defensive end Kyle Clement was let go to make room on the roster.
