NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Texans OG Kenyon Green is likely to miss the rest of the season after suffering a dislocated shoulder on Thursday night against the Jets.
Green exited in the first half of Thursday’s loss to the Jets and did not return to the field. The third-year guard has played on 561 snaps this season but has struggled mightily. He’s allowed five sacks on 27 pressures over nine games. There could be some addition by subtraction in play here, with Kendrick Green most likely to fill in at left guard moving forward.

Aaron Wilson reports Kenyon Green (shoulder) dislocated his shoulder and is out “indefinitely.”
Sounds like an IR stint is in the cards for the struggling third-year pro. Kendrick Green — yes, we know, it is confusing — replaced his fellow Green at left guard and figures to compete for the job along with Jarret Patterson as long as Ken(yon) Green is out.

Texans LG Kenyon Green (ankle) left Week 14’s game against the Cowboys and is questionable to return.
Green pulled on Houston’s third drive and awkwardly shuffled off afterwards, he limped off into the locker room after a tent stint per FOX’s sideline reporter. The first-year guard has struggled this season. Jimmy Morrissey replaced Green because Everyday Is Like Sunday.

Texans signed first-round OL Kenyon Green to a four-year contract.
Green will likely play and start at one of the guard spots as a rookie, which opens up the Texans line to some big flashes of dominance and, potentially, a learning curve. Whether he plays left guard or right guard probably depends on if the Texans move Tytus Howard inside again this year or stick with Charlie Heck at right tackle. A.J. Cann would start at guard if Howard starts at right tackle.

Texans selected Texas A&M OG Kenyon Green with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Green (6’4/325) lived up to his five-star billing by starting all three seasons in College Station. Green put on a versatility clinic in 2021 when he started at every position but center en route to first-team All-American accolades. A springy sledgehammer in the run game with 84th-percentile arm length, Green wins on initial impact, puts his man on skates, and clears out holes with powerful leg drive. Green is susceptible to sudden change-of-direction and counter moves, and he can also be fooled by exotic looks, is slow to pick up a twist, and lacks the lateral agility to come from behind on a rep. Per Thor Nystrom’s numbers, Green ranked No. 74 among this interior class in pass-blocking last season. Green’s strengths and weaknesses were all on display during pre-draft testing, where he posted an 88th-percentile 10-yard split but a rotten 8th-percentile shuttle. Sharing stylistic similarities with Isiah Wynn, Green best fits a gap scheme where his north-south pop will play and his lack of agility will be mitigated.

Per PFF, Texas A&M OL Kenyon Green was tops in multiple categories.
Green (6'4/325) has excellent versatility heading into the NFL, as he has played at a high level at both guard and tackle. His best position is likely guard where he truly dominated for the Aggies. Since 2020, he was tops among SEC guards with a PFF grade of 80.8, first in run blocking grade at 84.4, and had the fewest sacks allowed with 700+ snaps with one. He will be able to step in immediately and be a contributor for whoever selects him.

Pro Football Focus’ Ari Meirov reports Texas A&M OL Kenyon Green is visiting with the Cowboys.
Green (6'4/323) is a projected first rounder who can fit into both a guard or tackle role at the NFL level. Dallas has invested significant draft capital in its offensive line over the years and lost guard Connor Williams to the Dolphins in free agency. With the 24th overall pick in this year’s draft, Dallas could opt to fill the void left my Williams with the selection of a high-end rookie. In addition to his visit with the Cowboys, Green is also scheduled to meet with the Giants, Eagles, Titans, Texans, Falcons, Bears and Patriots.
