Falcons DL Kentavius Street (shoulder) is out for the rest of Week 14 against the Buccaneers.
Street left in the third quarter against the Buccaneers with an apparent shoulder injury. The Falcons’ defensive line was already banged up, but now loses Street for the game as well. The injuries are piling up in the trenches for the Falcons with multiple offensive and defensive lineman missing Week 14.
  • ATL Defensive Tackle #97
Falcons acquired Kentavius Street and a 2025 seventh-round pick from the Eagles in exchange for a conditional 2024 sixth-round pick.
The Falcons lost Grady Jarrett to a torn ACL and will now look to replace him — at least to some degree — with Street. This may not be the last move the Falcons make before the trade deadline, as they’ve also been rumored to be in on Commanders EDGE rusher Montez Sweat. Street has played in eight games for the Eagles this season, totaling two tackles on the year. He tallied a career-high 3.5 sacks in 2022 with the Saints and should be a serviceable pass rusher alongside Calais Campbell. The conditional sixth-round pick is contingent on Street playing at least six games for the Falcons.
  • ATL Defensive Lineman #93
Eagles signed DL Kentavius Street, formerly of the Saints, to a one-year contract.
Street started out with the 49ers before becoming a Saint last offseason. He’s played in all 17 games in each of the last two years for the 49ers and Saints, adding 6.5 sacks as a rotational lineman. Street should be part of the plan to replace Javon Hargrave for the Eagles.

  • ATL Defensive Lineman #93
    Saints signed DT Kentavius Street.
Street was a restricted free agent not tendered an offer by the 49ers. Although in theory he offers some pass-rushing upside, Street was too frequently washed out in San Francisco. He earned poor marks across the board from Pro Football Focus. Turning 26 in May, Street will be working with a strong defensive coach in Dennis Allen. The Saints’ aggressive scheme could put him in advantageous pass-rushing spots.

  • ATL Defensive Lineman #93
49ers did not tender restricted free agent Kentavius Street, making him a free agent.
The 49ers selected Street in the fourth round of the 2018 draft, and he emerged in 2021 as a decent pass rusher, recording 19 tackles, three sacks, four hits, and 12 hurries. Street played in all 20 of the 49ers games, including the playoffs. He also played on Special Teams in kick blocking packages. Entering his age-26 season, Street is likely to find another home as a rotational lineman and Special Teams contributor.

49ers placed DT Kentavius Street (knee) on injured reserve.
The 49ers activated LB Kwon Alexander (pec) off injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. Street recorded four tackles in three games this season.
  • Linebacker
49ers activated LB Kwon Alexander (pec) off injured reserve.
The team placed DT Kentavius Street (knee) on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. Alexander’s return to the lineup is great news for the defense’s chances of slowing down Dalvin Cook and company. The 49ers quietly allowed at least 100 rushing yards in 12-of-16 games this season. Alexander’s presence is also bad news for Kyle Rudolph and company. The 49ers boast the type of freaky-athletic LBs in Alexander (PFF’s No. 9 LB in coverage) and Fred Warner (No. 11) to force Kirk Cousins to have to work outside the numbers.
  • ATL Defensive Lineman #93
49ers activated DL Kentavius Street (knee) from injured reserve.
Street was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 draft, but has yet to play a regular season snap. The 49ers placed DL D.J. Jones on the injured reserve in a corresponding roster move.
  • ATL Defensive Lineman #93
The 49ers are expected to have Kentavius Street (knee, IR) back at practice this week.
His activation window will open whenever he returns to the practice field. It seems likely that Street will eventually return to the active roster before the end of the season, especially since the Niners currently have an open roster spot. The 49ers have been rolling with their elite defensive line and Street would be the cherry on top.

49ers DE Kentavius Street will undergo a knee scope Friday.
Coach Kyle Shanahan admitted injured reserve is a possibility. Street missed his entire 2018 rookie season recovering from ACL surgery. He’s looking like a lost draft pick at this point after going No. 128 overall.
