  • FA Wide Receiver #19
Jets hosted free agent WR Kenny Golladay for a visit.
The free agent market has been understandably quiet for Golladay, who is arguably one of the biggest free agent busts in recent memory. Golladay signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Giants ahead of the 2021 season, and was cut just two years into the deal. At 29-years old, Golladay could still have something left in the tank, but he’ll likely need to work his way up from a practice squad to make the 53-man roster.

    Giants released WR Kenny Golladay.
The team will wait until the start of the new league year (March 15) to make the transaction official. Golladay, fighting constant injuries and clearly a few steps slower and less explosive than he was during his Detroit heyday, was one of the worst free agent signings in recent NFL history. Joe Judge’s Giants inked Golladay to a $72 million deal with $28 million guaranteed before the 2021 season. Golladay was benched for much of the 2022 season under competent head coach Brian Daboll, catching six of his 17 targets, including his only touchdown as a Giant. Golladay, 29, will have to sign a prove-it deal with a team desperate for outside receiver help.

Kenny Golladay caught 2-of-7 targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in the Giants’ Week 18 loss to the Eagles.
Golladay made a nice contested catch in the back of the end zone for his first TD catch since Week 4 of 2020. While that was nice to see, it only happened because Golladay was playing with the Giants’ backups. He will likely return to the bench when the Giants play in the Wild Card Round.

Kenny Golladay (illness) was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice.
Golladay was downgraded to out because of an illness last week. In his place, Isaiah Hodgins picked up his first career touchdown while playing on 80 percent of the Giants’ offensive snaps. Hodgins has likely earned the right to start over a healthy Golladay, though fantasy managers should not count on much production from him.

Kenny Golladay (illness) is out for Week 13 against the Commanders.
Golladay was a late addition to the team’s injury report, as the veteran receiver is reportedly dealing with an illness that will sideline him for the week. The Giants will likely look to Richie James to lead a depleted wide receiver corps against a stout Commanders defense. The Giants also declared CB Adoree’ Jackson, CB Darnay Holmes, G Shane Lemieux, G Joshua Ezeudu, TE Lawrence Cager and LB Elerson Smith as inactive

Giants WR Kenny Golladay was added to the injury report with an illness.
Golladay is officially listed as questionable with an illness, as is fellow wide receiver Darius Slayton. Wide receiver Richie James is also listed as question but with a knee injury, potentially leaving the Giants extremely shorthanded at wide receiver for a matchup with the pass-funnel Commanders.

Kenny Golladay caught 2-of-2 targets for 29 yards in the Giants’ Week 11 loss against the Lions.
Golladay’s time in New York has gone miserably, so much so that fans cheered with joy when he actually made a rare catch. He made another one late in the game and the crowd reacted the same way. It’ll take a number of injuries for Golladay to become a focal point of the Giants’ offense.

Kenny Golladay (knee) is questionable for Week 11 against the Lions.
We’re truly questionable to see the saddest #RevengeGame possible. We’re shook.

Kenny Golladay (knee) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Let’s make this blurb long enough to match Golladay’s relevance in fantasy football. He’s likely to be questionable for Week 11.

Kenny Golladay (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Golladay failed to catch either of his targets, one of which was a drop, in Week 10. He didn’t play much in the second half. It’s unclear if that was related to the knee issue or the drop, but it hardly matters at this point. Golladay has yet to make an impact this year and won’t do so in Week 11.
