Pro Football Focus’ Michael Renner ranked Georgia redshirt sophomore, DB Kelee Ringo, as the No. 1 DB of the 2023 NFL Draft Class.
It’s far too early to determine whether or not this will stand come draft day, but Ringo (6'2/205) caught Renner’s attention after a 2021 season in which he allowed 24 receptions for 346 yards and three touchdowns on 51 targets. Renner praised Ringo for his ability to press up on opposing wide receivers and noted his laser-timed 4.35 40-yard dash that he ran at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge back in high school. Ringo received a PFF coverage grade of 73.3 last season, breaking up three passes while forcing two interceptions. The former five-star recruit will now look to build on his recent successes heading into what could be his final season on campus.

Georgia freshman DB Kelee Ringo hasn’t received a wealth of attention, but certainly earned some in the 33-18 win over Alabama in the national championship.
Ringo (6'2/205) isn’t a name many are used to hearing about in the college football landscape. But he’s one that turned some heads as he stuck the nail in the coffin and sealed a victory for Georgia with a pick-six returned for nearly 80 yards, forcing Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young to deal with his second interception of the night -- a personal worst for him. If there’s one thing Georgia can be confident about on defense moving forward, it’s that it has immense talent and depth.

  • CHI Cornerback #38
Georgia will start fifth-year senior CB Ameer Speed over Kelee Ringo for the National Championship game.
Speed (6'3"/211) started the first three games for Georgia, but was replaced by redshirt freshman and five-star recruit Kelee Ringo for the next 11 games. It seems Georgia will be going back to Speed for now. Whether this is symbolic thing or not remains to be seen. Update: Ringo was the first team corner in warmups.

  • PHI Cornerback #22
Georgia signed five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo.
Ringo (6'2/205) opted in with Georgia over Alabama, Texas, Oregon and Ohio State. He signed silently with the Bulldogs in December before making the public announcement at the All-American Game on Saturday. The Scottsdale, Arizona native -- nice cross-country reach by UGA -- models his game after NFL star Jalen Ramsey and has the talent and upside to land as a future Day 1 selection in the pros down the road should he develop to his lockdown potential. Perhaps the biggest criticism that we can level against Ringo is that he plays so hyped up that he can occasionally get a little too assertive and aggressive in coverage. So he has to reign that in. A stud’s stud, Kelee Ringo. On the 247Sports composite board, Ringo lands as the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2020 class. Georgia could finish with a top-three class for the cycle when all is said and done in February.

247 Sports lists five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo as the best uncommitted and/or unsigned recruit of this recruiting class.
Not only is Ringo the top unsigned recruit, but 247 Sports lists him as a top-10 recruit, period. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound corner has the size and demeanor to be a physical press corner on the outside. Ringo is also a fantastic athlete who excels as a track sprinter. 247 Sports expects Ringo to sign with Georgia eventually, but until he does, Ringo remains the best recruit left on the market since the opening of the early signing period.

247Sports’ Blair Angulo reports that uncommitted five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo will not sign with a program on Wednesday.
The CFB world is gearing up for the start of the early signing period on Wednesday, but Ringo has apparently decided to hold off on signing. Per Angulo, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound corner now “tentatively” plans on announcing his pledge at the All-American Bowl on Jan. 4. But, no secret signing or the like on Wednesday (a few players in a given class will tend to sign “silently,” without announcement in the moment). Oregon and Georgia have both drawn official visits from the speedy Scottsdale native this fall. Texas, Ohio State and Alabama are all potential players for the speedster’s eventual NLI, along with the Ducks and Bulldogs. On the 247Sports composite board, Ringo lands as the No. 8 overall prospect in the 2020 class.

Uncommitted five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo will take official visits to Georgia, Texas, Ohio State and Alabama.
Ringo (6'1/180) trekked out on his first OV of the cycle back in early October, that one going to Oregon. While he plans on taking additional officials to the four above programs, the dates for those trips have not yet been locked into place. They look likely to take place in December. Ringo plans on making his commitment announcement at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in January. Rivals ranks the Scottsdale native as the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2020 class. He is one of the fastest prep prospects in the country, having previously been clocked under 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Uncommitted five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo is taking an official visit to Oregon this coming weekend.
Ringo (6'1/180) will be hanging in Eugene when the Ducks take on Colorado on Friday. This is going to be a crucial opportunity for Oregon to make a big push, as Georgia and Texas have the looks of frontrunners in this race for the speedy Scottsdale native (Ringo has been timed under 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash). In addition to Oregon, UGA and Texas, Ohio State and Alabama are also players in this recruitment. On the 247Sports composite board for the 2020 cycle, Ringo lands as the No. 6 overall prospect.

Rivals’ Adam Gorney writes that Georgia is “probably the frontrunner” for uncommitted five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo.
While Ringo is technically working with a top-five list of Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Ohio State and Oregon, Gorney relays that UGA and Texas have “the distinct advantage in his recruitment.” The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder out of Scottsdale is currently in the process of setting up his various official visits. Ranking as Rivals’ No. 6 overall prospect in the 2020 class, Ringo comes equipped with a sizzling speed component and is capable of a sub-4.40-second 40-yard dash.

Uncommitted five-star 2020 CB Kelee Ringo will take an unofficial visit to Georgia this coming weekend.
With the month-long summer dead period just about over -- it will end after Wednesday -- you’ll see visits start up again later this week. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Ringo plans on making use of all five of his official visits, with Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Ohio State and Alabama looking likely to draw OVs over the coming months. Keeping us on our toes, Ringo said that he could “pull the trigger whenever” on a commitment announcement. The Scottsdale native is one of the fastest high schoolers in the country regardless of position, having been clocked at 4.35 seconds in the 40-yard dash. Rivals ranks Ringo as the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2020 class.
