Terms were undisclosed. The LSU product is at a thin position for Atlanta, but still has an uphill climb to make the Falcons. He is not much of a receiver.

Falcons waived TE Keith Zinger, CB Wilrey Fontenot, WR Chandler Williams, WR Eric Weems, LB Mickey Pimentel, CB Glenn Sharpe, S Daren Stone, S Eric Brock, and OT Michael Butterworth.

Zinger and Fontenot were both draft picks this offseason. Atlanta is rather short on safeties after Stone’s release.

Zinger was trying to make the Falcons as a blocking tight end behind Tony Gonzalez. Daniels, Wolfe, and Strickland were all buried on the depth chart.
