The Packers have reportedly been speaking to Moss about redoing his contract. The source said Oakland doesn’t want Aaron Rodgers, but rather Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila or Corey Williams, who had seven sacks last year. GM Ted Thompson is expected to meet with the Packers’ executive committee Tuesday morning to discuss the deal.

He made double digits for the fourth straight year. There are few sack artists with such consistency.

KGB has had an uneven year. He started slow, went on a sack streak, but has failed to main consistency.

KGB said yesterday that he’s not concerned about the injury, which he’s had several other times in his career.

Green Bay doesn’t have great depth at defensive end so we don’t expect Gbaja-Biamila to be one of the few June 1 cuts. But he certainly seems to have rubbed the staff the wrong way since midway through last season.

Jenkins has produced no sacks so far this season, partly as a result of minor injuries. He came off the bench in Week 4, with Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila taking his first-team spot. Jenkins isn’t in danger of missing the game.

If Cullen Jenkins was 100 percent, he’d be in line for a big day against John St. Clair. Instead, Jenkins will likely split snaps with Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila.

KGB is among the league’s sack leaders despite coming off the bench, so his loss hurts against a Cowboys offense the Packers will need to pressure to slow down. Cullen Jenkins is likely in line for a full host of snaps.

It’s clear neither player’s injury is season threatening. “I think it just comes down to player safety,” Thompson said. “It didn’t make sense to risk them for this one game. We still have a lot of the season to go.”

KGB has salaries of $6.15 million and $7.3 million left on his deal. He excelled in a situational role last year, posting 9.5 sacks and forcing two fumbles, and figures to be kept around until the contract expires.
