    Packers released WR Juwann Winfree.
Winfree couldn’t crack the Green Bay roster after two years with the Packers. He caught eight of 13 targets for 58 yards in 2021 when pressed into action. Winfree should draw some interest from wideout-needy teams.

    Packers waived WR Juwann Winfree.
Winfree spent 2019 in Denver before landing with the Packers this offseason. He performed well in OTAs but was unable to crack Green Bay’s 53-man roster. The Packers could look to add the 24-year-old to their practice squad if he passes through waivers.

  • HOU Wide Receiver #15
ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reports WR Juwann Winfree “looks like he’ll make a strong run” at a roster spot.
Winfree was one of the few Packers receivers not to skip voluntary workouts. That could help his chances of earning a roster spot this summer. Green Bay is set at the top of its depth chart, with Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard, and third-rounder Amari Rodgers all locked into top-four roles. Winfree is competing with Devin Funchess, Equanimeous St. Brown, and Malik Taylor for the No. 5 job.

    Broncos waived WR Juwann Winfree.
Winfree was injured all of last year, totaling 14 offensive snaps with Denver. He’s a candidate to revert to the Broncos’ practice squad post waivers.

  • HOU Wide Receiver #15
Broncos placed WR Juwann Winfree (hamstring) on injured reserve.
Winfree played 15 snaps all season and wasn’t targeted.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #15
Broncos declared WR Juwann Winfree, CB Shakial Taylor, C Patrick Morris, OLB Malik Reed, OG Ron Leary, OT Calvin Anderson, and DL Jonathan Harris inactive for Week 14 against the Texans.
Von Miller (knee) is officially good to go after a week of limited participation. Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick will continue starting in two-wide sets.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #15
Broncos declared CB Bryce Callahan, LB Josey Jewell, OT Ja’Wuan James, DE Adam Gotsis, WR Juwann Winfree, OT Calvin Anderson, and TE Troy Fumagalli inactive for Week 5 against the Chargers.
All of these inactives were expected. The Broncos are also missing DE Bradley Chubb, though the Chargers are missing Melvin Ingram and others to even things out.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #15
9 News’ Mike Klis believes Juwann Winfree has “a good chance” at being the Broncos’ No. 5 wide receiver in 2019.
When everyone’s healthy, the top four receivers are Emmanuel Sanders, Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, and Tim Patrick, but there’s little depth beyond that. Winfree doesn’t figure to see many targets as a rookie, however, meaning his value will come on special teams. In college, Winfree (6'1/210) bounced around with injuries piling up, ultimately settling in at Colorado as the No. 2 option.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #15
Broncos traded up with the Panthers to Colorado WR Juwann Winfree with the No. 187 overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Not invited to the Combine (6'1/210), Winfree spent his college career on a merry-go-round, beginning at Maryland before suspensions forced him to JUCO. He eventually landed in Boulder, where he sat out in 2016 with a torn ACL. Injuries, including a 2018 high-ankle sprain, limited him to 15 games across 2017-18. Winfree flashed in college but is all projection due to his star-crossed collegiate career.
