NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reports Eagles CB Bradley Roby is considered week-to-week with a shoulder injury.
Roby hurt his shoulder in Week 6 against the Jets and could miss a game or two. The 31-year-old joined the Eagles in early October to reinforce a banged-up secondary, but now goes down with his own injury. CB Josiah Scott was signed by the Eagles to fill in while Roby recovers.
  • FA Cornerback #47
Eagles traded CB Jameson Houston and a 2023 sixth-round pick to the Jaguars for CB Josiah Scott.
The Eagles part with Houston for Scott, 22, a fourth rounder out of Michigan State who played in six games for Jacksonville last year. A Dave Caldwell holdover, Scott profiles as a nickel corner. Houston, meanwhile, played in three games (17 total snaps) for the Eagles in 2020.

  • JAX Defensive Lineman #52
Jaguars placed four rookies on the reserve/COVID-19 list, including third-round DT DaVon Hamilton.
The other names include DB Lug Barcoo, DB Josiah Scott and G Tre’Vour Wallace-Simms. All four will need to be cleared by the team’s medical staff before re-joining football activities. Hamilton is expected to fill a depth role along the defensive line after Calais Campbell departed to the Ravens.

  • FA Defensive Back #33
Jaguars signed fourth-round CB Josiah Scott to a four-year contract.
About half of the league hasn’t even signed a single one of their incoming rookies with just days until training camp starts. Scott (5'9/185) started all 30 games he played in the B1G, primarily lining up along the perimeter and bouncing inside when the Spartans rotated to nickel packages. Scott allowed one catch or fewer in nearly half his games as a true ‘island’ corner, finishing with 32 passes defended on the 133 targets he faced in coverage. Scott’s limited length (29 3/8" arms) will be an issue against NFL competition — it was against elite collegiate athletes — but his ability to glide in any man-coverage scheme should get him on the field in at least a limited capacity early in his career.
