Raiders signed DT Josh Shaw from their practice squad.
Shaw, a former standout at Michigan State, adds depth with Gerard Warren still on the mend. His addition frees up Tyler Brayton to play more end.

The Raiders extended low tenders to restricted free agent CB Chris Carr, LB Isaiah Ekejiuba, and DT Josh Shaw.
Carr can play safety, corner, and return kicks. Shaw hardly played in 2007. Ekejiuba is a solid special teamer. They can all make $927,000 in 2008.

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan revealed that DT Josh Shaw played the second half of Week 2 despite having 40 stitches to close up a laceration in his left calf.
“It looked like there was a hole in his leg,” Shanahan said. “That just shows you the mental toughness these guys have.” Of course, neither defense showed much physical toughness in Denver’s 39-38 track meet win over San Diego.

Broncos DT Josh Shaw will miss 2-3 weeks after partially tearing his groin in Week 3.
Shaw is a bit player. DE Ebenezer Ekuban may now see more action inside.

Broncos suspended DT Josh Shaw indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team.
They should’ve just cut him. Shaw, a backup interior lineman who couldn’t make the Raiders in training camp, will miss at least one game.
