Kendre Miller rushed eight times for 15 yards in the Saints’ Week 16 loss to the Packers, adding 16 yards on two receptions.
To be fair to Miller, the entire offense struggled through what seemed to be insurmountable deficiencies while playing with a backup rookie quarterback and without their top four skill position players. Miller ceded most of the second half work to Jordan Mims with the team taking a 21-0 deficit into the break. Mims ended up catching 5-of-8 targets for 16 yards while adding 16 yards on four carries. It remains unclear if any of the team’s injured players will play again this season, but things don’t currently look good in New Orleans.

Kendre Miller (hamstring) will not play in Week 9 against the Panthers.
Jamaal Williams is listed as doubtful with a groin issue. Jordan Mims will likely be called up from the practice squad to serve as Alvin Kamara’s backup this week. Mims is an interesting add in deep leagues but doesn’t hold any standalone value for Week 9.
  • FA Running Back #26
    Saints released RB James Robinson.
Robinson continues to make the rounds, hoping to find his way on a 53-man roster. The former UDFA, who impressed with 1,414 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns as a rookie, has spent time with five different teams in less than two years and is dangerously close to running out of chances. Second-year running back Jordan Mims, who rushed 25 times for 108 yards this preseason, could be kept on the Saints’ final roster with Robinson now cut.
  • NO Running Back #33
RB Jordan Mims rushed five times for 33 yards and caught 2-of-3 targets for 14 yards in the Saints’ preseason game against the Titans on Sunday.
Mims concludes the NFL preseason averaging 0.28 missed tackles forced per rushing attempt and seven missed tackles forced overall. The Saints’ running back depth chart is shaky at the moment and Mims may have done enough to earn a roster spot.
  • NO Running Back #33
Fresno State senior RB Jordan Mims rushed 29 times for 165 yards and two touchdowns, along with five catches for 71 yards in a 31-24 win over UTEP on Saturday.
After starting running back Ronnie Rivers was a surprise scratch, Mims (6'0/205) took the reign and dominated the Miners from start to finish. After scoring two short-yardage touchdowns, Mims caught a 22-yard touchdown on a perfectly executed wheel route. He capped off his dominating performance by rushing five times for 31 yards to seal the deal after a UTEP fumble. On the season, Mims tallied 1,034 total yards and 10 total touchdowns.

  • NO Running Back #33
Fresno State senior RB Jordan Mims rushed eight times for 26 yards, and caught four passes for 103 yards and one touchdown in Saturday’s 34-7 win over New Mexico.
Mims (6'0/205) did most of his damage through the air in this one, as he took a screen pass from quarterback Jake Haener for a 78-yards and later caught another four yard pass late in the third quarter to put the Bulldogs up 34-7. Mims has contributed both on the ground and in the passing game for Fresno State this season, sporting a rushing line of 93/531/4, and a receivingh line of 18/204/2. He and the Bulldogs will return to action on November 25th at San Jose State.

  • LAR Running Back #20
Fresno State senior RB Ronnie Rivers (lower leg) is warming up ahead of Saturday’s game against Boise State.
This is great news for Fresno State, as the Bulldogs lost Rivers (5'9/195) during the first quarter of their October 23 game against Nevada. The senior running back has rushed for 573 yards and four touchdowns on 116 carries this season, while also catching 25 passes for 254 yards and another score. Jordan Mims should still see some action, but Fresno State’s offense is a different animal when Rivers is healthy.

  • NO Running Back #33
Fresno State senior RB Jordan Mims rushed 29 times for a career-high 186 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 30-20 win at San Diego State.
Mims (6'0/205) has stepped right into the lineup, picking up where RB Ronnie Rivers left off. The latter suffered an undisclosed injury last Saturday against Nevada. Mims came on and went for 23 rushes, 134 yards and a touchdown against the Wolf Pack with two total scores, and then he posted this career-best performance. Mims will look to keep up the good work next weekend at Bulldog Stadium against the visiting Boise State Broncos.

  • NO Running Back #33
Fresno State senior RB Jordan Mims ran for 134 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 20 yards with a score in a 34-32 win over Nevada on Saturday.
Mims was tasked with being the bellcow on Saturday after Ronnie Rivers left with an injury -- Rivers picked up 80 yards and a touchdown on just three carries -- and he was up to the task. Even playing second fiddle to Rivers, he’s been a solid producer over the past two weeks, and if the former has to miss time, there’s every reason to think he can be successful going forward. Either way, expect Mims (6'0/205) to be plenty involved in a big game next Saturday against San Diego State.

  • LAR Running Back #20
Fresno State senior RB Ronnie Rivers (undisclosed) has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday’s game against Nevada.
Rivers (5'9/195), the Bulldogs’ top rusher, was injured during the first quarter of Saturday’s game, The senior running back wasn’t on the field long but he did have an impact, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown on just three carries. With Rivers done for the night, Jordan Mims becomes Fresno State’s primary ball-carrier.
