  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Jordan Davis (hamstring) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Davis being added to the injury report on Thursday is a bit concerning, but the fact he was able to log a limited session is still encouraging. We’ll see how he fares in Friday’s practice, but for now, we’d expect him to suit up for Week 8 against the Commanders. In addition to Davis, the Eagles also added CB James Bradberry (ankle) and LB Zach Cunningham (ankle) to the practice report. Both were listed as limited participants.
  • FA Defensive End #98
Eagles declared DE Robert Quinn, QB Ian Book, CB Josh Jobe, RB Trey Sermon, G Josh Sills, and G Sua Opeta inactive for Week 13 against the Titans.
Quinn injured his knee in practice, and the pass rusher was declared out on Friday. It’s a blow for the Eagles’ ability to get to the passer. However, the Eagles will have DT Jordan Davis, who is returning from injured reserve. bolstering the interior of the defensive line.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said he’s hopeful DT Jordan Davis (ankle) can play in Week 13 against the Titans.
Philadelphia’s rush defense has been horrendous with Davis sidelined since Week 8. Only six defenses have allowed a higher EPA against the rush than the Eagles since Davis suffered his ankle injury. Davis practiced this week and should return just in time to face Derrick Henry and the run-heavy Titans.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Eagles DT Jordan Davis (ankle, injured reserve) has resumed practicing.
Although Davis is still technically on injured reserve, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Reuben Frank expects him to be activated ahead of Sunday’s game against the Titans. The No. 13 overall pick had been devouring the run before going down. It would be a timely return with Derrick Henry on deck for Sunday.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Eagles placed DT Jordan Davis (ankle) on injured reserve.
Davis, the 13th overall pick in April’s draft, has played 33% of the snaps on defense as a rookie, mainly eating space on early downs. He’s dealing with a high-ankle sprain and will miss at least the next four games.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Eagles DT Jordan Davis (ankle) won’t play in Week 9 against the Texans.
The team also ruled out cornerback Josiah Scott. Davis suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 8 and will almost certainly miss multiple games because of the injury. He was a solid run-stuffer for the Eagles’ defensive front. His absence could open up a few extra holes for Texans runner Dameon Pierce.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said it’s unlikely Jordan Davis (ankle) will travel with the team for Thursday night’s game against the Texans.
It was revealed yesterday that Davis is dealing with a high-ankle sprain, which usually sidelines a player for 4-6 weeks. Davis missing Thursday night’s game against the Texans was all but a lock, although we’d still expect him to miss multiple games with this injury. Davis has tallied 14 tackles and one TFL through his first seven games as a pro and is the eighth-highest-graded lineman against the run (77.7) per PFF.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Ian Rapoport reports that Eagles DT Jordan Davis (ankle) has a high-ankle sprain.
Those usually cost players 4-6 weeks on the shelf, so it’s a possibility that Davis will be sent to IR. He almost definitely won’t play against the Texans on Thursday Night Football. The first-round pick had been a big cog in the Eagles defensive line rotation, playing 35% of the snaps through seven weeks.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Eagles signed No. 13 overall pick DT Jordan Davis to a four-year contract.
The Eagles have also locked up sixth-round LB Kyron Johnson and sixth-round TE Grant Calcaterra. The Eagles surrendered four picks to move up just two spots for Davis, so they are clearly infatuated. Davis (6’6/341) dominated last season in Athens, earning unanimous first-team All-American honors. An absolute hoss along the line, Davis demands double teams but has the size and speed to work through them at will. His ability to quickly identify the direction of a play and move laterally toward the ball carrier allows him to wreak havoc in opposing backfields, while his straight-line rush through opposing lines is equally impressive. Those unfamiliar with Davis before the draft became familiar after the Combine where he had one of the most impressive performances of all time, running a 4.78 40 at 341 pounds while also displaying elite explosiveness in both the vertical (32 inches) and broad jump (10-foot-3). His 10.00 relative athletic score is the highest possible. Not many players are built like Davis. Rams DT Aaron Donald ran a blistering 4.68 40 but did so at 285 pounds. Depending on how his career unfolds, Davis is the kind of player who could change how teams scout his position for years to come.

  • PHI Defensive Lineman #90
Eagles traded up with the Texans to select Georgia DT Jordan Davis with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
The Eagles surrendered picks No. 15, 124, 162 and 166 for the right to move up two spots. Davis (6’6/341) dominated last season in Athens to the tune of 32 total tackles, five tackles for loss and two sacks. He was a unanimous first-team All-American and winner of the Outland Trophy and Chuck Bednarik awards. An absolute plug along the line, Davis demands double teams but has the size and speed to work through them at will. His ability to quickly identify the direction of a play and move laterally toward the ball carrier allows him to wreak havoc in opposing backfields, while his straight-line rush through opposing lines is equally impressive.
