Packers OL Elgton Jenkins (knee) is questionable for Week 2.
Jenkins was upgraded to a full practice on Friday. The Packers were without Jenkins and starting left tackle David Bakhtiari for Week 1. Left guard Jon Runyan, who is questionable this week, also exited the game with a concussion. The piling of injuries was apparent throughout the game. Rodgers took four sacks and the offensive never got in rhythm. With all three players questionable for Wee 2, there’s some hope that Rodgers and company will bounce back versus Chicago.

  • FA Tackle #69
Packers LT David Bakhtiari (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Left guard Jon Runyan missed practice because of a concussion. Bakhtiari appeared to be on track to play in Week 1 before being downgraded to a DNP on Friday. He was subsequently ruled out before game-time on Sunday. In his absence, Yosh Nijman got the start at left tackle. With multiple starting linemen out, Aaron Rodgers took four sacks. That was more than he took in any regular season game last year. The Packers desperately need their line to get healthy if they want to compete in the NFC.

  • GB Tackle #76
Packers LG Jon Runyan (illness) is questionable to return in Week 9 against the Chiefs.
Runyan left the game in the second quarter and did not return before halftime. The 2020 sixth round pick is graded by Pro Football Focus as the Packers’ worst run blocking offensive lineman this year. Jake Hanson has taken over for Runyan at left guard.

  • GB Tackle #76
Packers signed sixth-round rookie OL Jon Runyan to a four-year contract.
Son of Jon Runyan Sr., a 14-year pro who was once the highest-paid lineman in the NFL, the Wolverines’ left tackle was groomed in the sport and inherited his father’s trademark nastiness in bulldozing oncoming defenders in the run game. His versatility at both left and right tackle in college, as well as the few snaps he took in between at guard, should compensate for his subpar feet, length, and strength at the next level. Overall, Runyan (6'4/306) is an above-average athlete who projects best on the interior line but may be asked to compete at multiple positions with the Packers in camp.
