Colts signed Nebraska LB Jojo Domann.
Domann (6’1/230) finished at outside linebacker after beginning his career as a safety. Despite missing the final two games of 2021, Domann piled up 72 tackles, nine TFLs, two sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, and three breakups en route to AP second-team All-American honors. In line with his safety background, he’s a space defender who can be trusted in coverage. He posted an elite 93rd-percentile three cone during pre-draft testing with an 84th-percentile 4.62 forty. The question is early-down utility. He doesn’t have the play strength to take on at the contact point or shed when blockers have squared up. Think of him as a Jabril Cox-like prospect.

Nebraska redshirt senior LB JoJo Domann will return to school for the 2021 season.
Domann (6'1/230) is a key member of the Nebraska defense, so getting him back for another season is big news for Scott Frost’s program. The redshirt senior made eight starts this season, accounting for 58 total tackles (35 solo, 6.5 for loss), two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one quarterback hurry and five pass breakups. For his efforts, Domann was an honorable mention all-Big Ten selection.

Rivals’ Sean Callahan reports that Nebraska redshirt junior LB JoJo Domann (undisclosed) will join camp on Wednesday.
Per Callahan, Domann is currently dealing with an undisclosed injury sustained this summer. It’s not immediately clear the exact nature of this injury concern. The 6-foot-1, 235-pound redshirt junior tore his ACL two springs ago, but managed a full return in 2018, when he registered 19 tackles with two fumbles forced. He began his career in Lincoln as a safety before being moved to outside linebacker during the fall campaign. Domann should be viewed as a probable starter so long as he turns in a healthy camp after -- presumably -- joining the team later this week.

Nebraska sophomore S JoJo Domann suffered a torn ACL on a non-contact play in practice this week.
Domann will be undergoing surgery next week. Said HC Mike Riley, “Really a freak, sad deal. It’s a disappointing thing for everybody.” He indicated that because the 6-foot-1, 200-pounder has not yet had his redshirt burned, Nebraska’s plan is to “be really conservative.” The underlying message, there, would be that even if Domann has completed his rehab by October, the Huskers won’t be taking any unnecessary chances rushing him back to the field before he is truly ready. The bulk of his work came as a special-teamer last season. Consider his sidelining a depth blow for Riley and company. Aaron Williams, Antonio Reed, Keiron Williams and Avery Anderson are set to battle it out for 2017 starting honors at safety.

Nebraska redshirt sophomore S JoJo Domann (knee) will not participate in spring practice.
Domann (6'1/200) tore his ACL in practice last April and subsequently missed the entirety of the 2017 season. He took a redshirt for the campaign. Huskers HC Scott Frost passed along to reporters near the end of January that the safety had suffered a setback in his rehab, hence why he’s still not physically ready for the rigors of practice. With his knee still causing him obvious issue, there is no current timetable for Domann’s return to full health. Playing as a true freshman in a healthy 2016 season, the safety recorded eight tackles and a forced fumble while working mostly on special teams.
