Steelers released LB Matt Stewart, and waived LBs Lindsey Witten and Johnny Williams.
Witten and Williams were undrafted rookies, the former from UConn. Witten was once considered to be among college football’s best pass rushers, but never really took the next step. Stewart was trying to stick as a long snapper.
