Bengals DT John Thornton is not expected to be a June first salary cap cut.
Thornton may lose his starting job this season, but should still be part of a rotation with Sam Adams and Bryan Robinson.

Bengals DT Justin Smith (hamstring) will start on Sunday.
Smith has only one sack this season. It’s a contract year for him, so the production is a huge disappointment. DT John Thornton’s status is a game-time decision against Buffalo. Thornton’s backup is veteran Michael Myers.

  • Bengals T Willie Anderson (knee) has been ruled out for Week 10.
The Bengals continue to miss Anderson, a big loss against the Ravens potent pass rush. S Herana-Daze Jones (knee), LB Caleb Miller (back), CB Deltha O’Neal (knee) and LB Anthony Schlegel (back) all sat out practice while LB Rashad Jeanty (knee) and DT John Thornton (neck) were limited. No word if any will miss time in Week 10.
  • Bengals T Willie Anderson (knee) is unlikely to play in Week 11.
The Bengals will likely have to find a way to get their struggling running attack going without Anderson and they next face a Cardinals defense that held the Lions to -18 yards on the ground on eight carries last week. They will get some help as TE Reggie Kelly is expected to return in Week 11, as is DT John Thornton
  • FA Tight End
Bengals TE Reggie Kelly (knee) and DT John Thornton (neck stinger) are expected to return to the lineup in Week 11.
Rookie Daniel Coats started in place of Kelly in Week 10 against the Ravens and caught a six-yard pass. Thornton is a captain on Cincinnati’s defense.
