Expect Arizona to be the most active waiver wire team in the next few weeks.

Williams will help out with DeAngelo Hall out of the lineup.

His wife Michelle will have to support the family.

Tafoya could get most of his playing time for the Cardinals on special teams. He ranked second on the Bears with 14 special teams tackles last season.

Tafoya played for Atlanta last season and in Chicago previous to that. He is likely to be a reserve for Seattle.

An MRI confirmed the Cardinals’ fears that Berry had suffered a season-ending injury for the third straight year. Journeyman Joe Tafoya and underachiever Darryl Blackstock will split time replacing him. The former Pro Bowler’s absence will hurt an inconsistent Arizona pass rush.

If so, this will be Berry’s second straight season ending on injured reserve due to a triceps tear. Joe Tafoya and Darryl Blackstock would combine replace Berry. Berry is under contract with Arizona through 2008.

Urban, 27, caught 22 passes for 329 yards (15.0 YPC) and two TDs in 2007. He’s currently the favorite to be Arizona’s third receiver, with Steve Breaston and Ahmad Merritt also in the mix. Tafoya stays around to provide depth.
