    Raiders waived CB Joe Porter.
The move clears a roster spot for Terrelle Pryor, who was activated from the reserve/suspended list Monday. A special teamer, Porter had notched 10 tackles so far this season.
  • LV Defensive Back
Raiders signed CB Joe Porter, formerly of the Browns.
Porter ran a 4.28 (Raider speed) at Rutgers’ 2007 Pro Day, but he’s a long shot for a roster spot. He’s behind Nnamdi Asomugha, Chris Johnson, Stanford Routt, and promising rookie Walter McFadden on the depth chart.
  • FA Defensive Back #29
Raiders FS Michael Huff was shaken up early in the first quarter of Sunday’s Week 3 game against the Jets with a head injury.
He was replaced by Joe Porter and Matt Giordano. Huff was limited with a groin injury in Week 2, and the 2010 All-Pro can’t seem to stay on the field. His exit could tip the scales in this game.
  • NYG Wide Receiver
Raiders released WR Todd Watkins, WR Shaun Bodiford, FB Manase Tonga, TE John Owens, CB Joe Porter, and DT Kellen Heard.
Watkins caught eight passes for 90 yards in 13 games with Oakland last seasons. The Raiders have only dregs behind Louis Murphy and Darrius Heyward-Bey right now, which doesn’t say much for Watkins or Bodiford.
  • FA Running Back
Raiders signed RB Louis Rankin, P Glenn Pakulak, LB/S Quentin Scott, Gs Roy Schuening and Alex Parsons, WRs Shaun Bodiford and Damola Adeniji, TE Kevin Brock, DE Tommie Hill, CB Joe Porter, and FB Manase Tonga to futures contracts.
11 is the largest futures haul of any team to date. Rankin has some potential as a kick returner. Porter runs an exceptional fort-yard dash time (go figure). The Raiders appear to be converting Scott from safety to linebacker.

Packers signed DB Joe Porter off their practice squad.
Porter played college ball at Rutgers and ran 4.28 at his Pro Day in 2007, but still went undrafted. He’ll focus on special teams with the Pack.
