Carvin (6'4/305) has already gone on an official to Tennessee and will be taking additional official trips to Mississippi State, Alabama and Arkansas over the next two months. Along with those journeys, the Cordova, Tennessee, native also has unofficial visits with Texas A&M and LSU on the docket. Rivals ranks Carvin as the No. 20 tackle prospect in the 2018 class.
  • Tennessee signed uncommitted four-star 2018 T Jerome Carvin.
Carvin (6'4/305) was down to Tennessee and Mississippi State, with the Vols ultimately winning out for his pledge. The program was courting the Cordova, Tennessee, native even before HC Butch Jones was fired in November. Carvin offers a quick get-off when the ball is snapped, but will need to continue to refine his technique before he’s ready to make a contribution in Knoxville.
