  • TEN Defensive Tackle #98
Titans DT Jeffery Simmons suffered a Tommy John ligament injury prior to Week 4.
Simmons suffered the injury to his left elbow and missed the Titans’ Week 4 win over the Dolphins. He did not need surgery, but needed to wear a brace and will get a Week 5 bye to recover. Simmons has a 12-tackle season through three games and aims to return for Week 6.
  • TEN Defensive Tackle #98
Titans declared DB Julius Wood, LB James Williams, OT Jaelyn Duncan, TE David Martin-Robinson, TE Thomas Odukoya, DL Jeffery Simmons, and LB Ali Gaye inactive for Week 4 against the Dolphins.
The 2019 first-round pick failed to practice at any point this week in preparation for the team’s Week 4 Monday Night Football game and was ultimately held out with the release of inactives. The Titans, for the most part, remain relatively healthy heading into their clash with the Dolphins.
  • TEN Defensive Tackle #98
Titans DT Jeffery Simmons (elbow) did not practice Thursday.
Simmons has played in all three games for the Titans this season, racking up 11 tackles, two TFLs, and one sack. The veteran lineman has only been listed on the injury report for veteran rest up to this point, meaning this elbow injury is a new issue he’s dealing with. With their Week 4 matchup against the Dolphins still four days away, it’s possible Simmons suits up later in the week and is good to go come Monday.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman #98
Titans DT Jeffery Simmons (knee) will not play in Week 16 against the Seahawks.
Simmons went down with the knee injury in Week 13 and hasn’t played since. The Titans are not in the playoff hunt and their season is nearing an end, so Simmons may have played his last snap in 2023. The Titans will also be without safety Amani Hooker and cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, among others, for Week 16.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman #98
Titans DT Jefferey Simmons (knee) will not practice on Wednesday.
The Titans stud defensive tackle suffered a knee injury in Week 13 and has missed the last two weeks. Given that the Titans are out of playoff contention, the team is likely determining just how quickly they want to rush him back. Simmons is undoubtedly the star of the Titans defense, posting 5.5 sacks and 10 TFL from his interior spot this year. If he were unable to go, that would be big news for Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet on Sunday.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman #98
Titans DT Jeffery Simmons (knee) will not play in Week 15 against the Texans.
This isn’t a surprise as Simmons was expected to miss a couple of weeks after suffering the knee injury in Week 13. He did not practice this week. His loss makes the Titans’ defense a better matchup for opposing offenses, though the Texans may be starting Davis Mills this week, crushing the fantasy value of everyone involved.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman #98
Titans declared DT Jeffery Simmons, DB Kristian Fulton, OLB Caleb Murphy, OLB Trevis Gipson, QB Malik Willis, DB Mike Brown, and TE Josh Whyle inactive for Week 14 against the Dolphins.
Simmons is dealing with a knee injury and is expected to miss a couple of weeks. He went down in Week 13. The stud defensive tackle has 5.5 sacks and 10 TFLs this year. His absence is a notable blow to both Tennessee’s pass-rush and run-defense,
  • TEN Defensive Lineman #98
Titans HC Mike Vrabel said DT Jeffery Simmons will miss “a couple weeks” with a knee injury.
Simmons exited Week 13’s contest against the Colts in the third quarter and didn’t return to the field. The veteran defensive tackle will be out for the next several weeks, although it’s possible this is the last we see of him in 2023 with the Titans currently sitting at 4-8 and well out of the playoff race. Simmons has 5.5 sacks and 10 TFLs this season and continues to be at the top of his game as far as defensive tackles are concerned. We’ll see if the Titans opt to play him over the final weeks of the season once he’s ready to go.

Simmons went down in the third quarter. He left the field and walked to the locker room under his own power but appeared to be in pain. Simmons has 5.5 sacks and 10 TFLs this year. He also has a receiving touchdown as the Titans have occasionally subbed him in on the goal line. His loss will be a noticeable hit for the Titans’ pass-rush.
  • TEN Defensive Lineman #98
Titans DT Jeffery Simmons left the team’s Week 5 game against the Colts.
Simmons walked off the field in the second quarter against the Colts. He was hit in the shoulder prior to heading into the medical tent, but walked back out onto the sidelines. It did not look like a major injury for Simmons and the Titans’ defensive front will get a boost if he returns to the game.
