    Patriots released QB Jeff Rowe.
Rowe, 26, was inked to a reserve/future contract in January but failed to stick with the Pats through OTAs. He was a fifth-round pick in 2007.
  • NE Quarterback
Bengals signed fifth-round QB Jeff Rowe to a multi-year contract.
Rowe doesn’t have the biggest arm but is accurate and has good experience coming from Nevada as a three-year starter. He’ll likely be the Bengals’ emergency QB as a rookie, behind Carson Palmer and Doug Johnson.
  • FA Quarterback #14
The Rams traded QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to the Bengals for a 2008 seventh-round draft pick.
It’s not certain if Fitzpatrick will replace backup Doug Johnson, who had a tough game on Thursday, or rookie third-stringer Jeff Rowe on the roster. Unless the Rams make another move, Brock Berlin becomes their No. 3 quarterback.
  • CHI Quarterback
According to the Tacoma Tribune, rookie QB Mike Teel has won the Seahawks’ No. 3 QB job.
Teel, the team’s sixth-round pick, beat out free agent Jeff Rowe. The former Rutgers standout has a big arm and fits a West Coast system nicely.
  • NE Quarterback
    Bengals waived QB Jeff Rowe.
The coaches decided to go with Carson Palmer’s brother Jordan over Rowe, their fifth-round pick in the ’07 draft. Palmer has the stronger arm.
  • FA Quarterback #14
Bengals backup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has not looked sharp this offseason, causing some to wonder if he could lose his job.
The Bengals don’t have many options: Jeff Rowe and Jordan Palmer. It’s quite possibly the worst group of backup quarterbacks in the league.
  • NE Quarterback
Bengals re-signed QB Jeff Rowe to their practice squad.
Rowe will add depth while the team tries to get a handle on Carson Palmer’s elbow injury.
  • NE Quarterback
Patriots signed QB Jeff Rowe to a reserve/future contract.
Rowe, a fifth-round pick in 2007, will stick around for the offseason program as the No. 3 quarterback. Also signed off the practice squad: TE Robbie Agnone, TE Rob Myers, DL Adrian Grady, DL Darryl Richard and WR Darnell Jenkins.
  • NE Quarterback
Seahawks signed QB Jeff Rowe off the Bengals practice squad.
A rare quality pickup for GM Tim Ruskell. A fifth-round pick out of Nevada in 2007, Rowe offers some mobility and can throw on the run. He was a highly accurate passer in college and profiles well in a West Coast passing attack. Rowe certainly has more long-term potential than Charlie Frye.
  • CIN Quarterback
Doug Johnson will be the Bengals’ top backup quarterback this season.
Nevada’s Jeff Rowe will be groomed as Johnson’s eventual replacement and be inactive as the Bengals’ emergency quarterback on game days.
