Raiders released WR Johnnie Morant, DE Kevin Huntley, and QB Jeff Otis.
Morant only caught eight passes in three years, but always managed to nab a roster spot because of his speed. Huntley had some production late last year and may get picked up. Otis is the only man in the Bay Area that wasn’t under consideration for the Raiders starting QB job.
  • NE Quarterback
Coach Lane Kiffin confirmed that Andrew Walter is the clear leader to be Oakland’s No. 2 quarterback this season.
Marques Tuiasosopo and Jeff Otis are third and fourth string, respectively. Walter was the No. 4 QB for much of last season because owner Al Davis didn’t want to cut him. Walter didn’t even expect to be on the team this year.
  • LV Quarterback
    Raiders waived QB Jeff Otis.
He was buried as a camp arm behind three other guys.
  • LV Quarterback
Raiders signed free agent QB Jeff Otis.
Otis, an undrafted rookie from Columbia in 2005, was released in training camp by the Raiders last season before signing with Arizona and eventually landing on Kansas City’s practice squad. Don’t expect him to see the field anytime soon.
  • LV Quarterback
    Raiders re-signed QB Jeff Otis.
Otis was waived earlier in the week, but LaMont Jordan’s release opened up a roster spot.
  • LV Quarterback
Raiders signed QB Jeff Otis to their practice squad.
This is a possible indication that Oakland is preparing to again be without JaMarcus Russell (knee) in Week 11. Andrew Walter (ankle) is also hurting.
  • LV Quarterback
Raiders waived QBs Sam Keller, Jeff Otis and DL Tranell Morant.
Oakland could still pick up a veteran quarterback, but they will go with Andrew Walter and Marques Tuiasosopo as backups for now.
  • LV Quarterback
Rams signed QB Jeff Otis, formerly of the Raiders.
Otis becomes the Rams’ third quarterback behind Marc Bulger and Brock Berlin, although they’re likely to use a mid-round draft pick at the position in April. Otis and Berlin figure to battle it out for third string.
