    Texans waived DL Jayden Peevy.
Peevy played zero defensive snaps for the Texans but previously suited up for the Titans during the 2022-2023 season and the Panthers in 2024. He flashed minor skills as a pass rusher last season, producing a 10.4 percent pass-rush win rate en route to five quarterback pressures and 1.5 sacks. Another team will likely give him a chance to make the active roster this summer.

Titans signed Texas A&M DT Jayden Peevy.
Peevy (6’5/308) was a five-year player at Texas A&M. He saw work as a true freshman but wasn’t named a starter until his junior year in 2019. Per PFF, Peevy never generated more than 20 quarterback pressures in a season and has nine career sacks. His main contribution comes on run defense, where he totaled 70 run stops in 49 games for his career, which included a career-high 24 run stops in 2021. Peevy ran a 5.30 40 dash at the Combine and ranked near the bottom of the group with a 27-inch vertical jump and 8-foot-4 inch broad jump. He lined up almost exclusively at defensive tackle last season, and will likely be asked to do the same at the next level.

Texas A&M DL Jayden Peevy has met with the Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints, and he will meet with the Las Vegas Raiders soon.
Peevy (6'5"/308) hasn’t had much buzz about him, but three teams have tabbed him for precious top-30 visits, meaning he has a chance to go higher than you might think. He amassed 137 total tackles in his five year career with A&M, with 19 of those going for loss and 6.5 sacks. Peevy has also met with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles and had a Zoom call with the Denver Broncos.

Three-star 2017 DT Jayden Peevy released a list of the six finalists for his commitment.
Peevy took to Twitter to unveil (in no order) Texas A&M, Houston, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Baylor as the top contenders for his services. He actually spent a cup of coffee as a Baylor commit from April to May before deciding to take a step back. That the Bears remain a contender for the 6-foot-6, 279-pounder’s commitment is a nice little recruiting coup for a program that is in desperate need of one. ESPN 300 notes that while Peevy comes equipped with a massive frame, he has yet to figure out how to put his size and strength to the best use. They believe he will need further seasoning on a technical level before he is ready to contribute at the collegiate level.

Texas A&M signed four-star 2017 DE Jayden Peevy.
Peevy initially committed to Baylor in April, but backed off that pledge in May. The Bellaire, Texas, native subsequently committed to Texas A&M near the end of August. Rivals ranks the 6-foot-6, 279-pounder as their No. 9 defensive end prospect in the 2017 class. Per ESPN, Peevy is a "[b]ig kid [who] can generate some push when he stays low, but can stall out due to pads rising.” The outlet believes that a move to offensive tackle is not out of the realm of possibility down the road.

Texas A&M sophomore DT Jayden Peevy (undisclosed) was limited to non-contact work during the spring.
Peevy (6'6/279) linked up with the Aggies as a four-star recruit last winter. During his first year on campus, he registered 16 tackles over the course of 11 games played. Assuming he can get back to full speed on the health front this summer, he’ll be jousting for starting honors with Justin Madubuike in August camp.
