The Raiders signed FB Jason Davis off the Bears practice squad.
The Raiders lost FB Justin Griffith to a season-ending knee injury on Sunday. Davis will be there only to block. He was Pierre Thomas’ lead blocker at Illinois.
  • NYJ Running Back
    Raiders released FB Jason Davis.
With Luke Lawton as the only fullback remaining on the roster, Michael Bush will act as the backup.

    Jets waived FB Jason Davis.
Davis wasn’t going to see the field behind Tony Richardson. The Jets will likely sign him to their practice squad if he clears waivers.
  • NYJ Running Back
Jets claimed FB Jason Davis off waivers from the Bears.
Chicago was likely hoping to sneak Davis onto its practice squad. Instead, he’ll learn behind starting lead blocker Tony Richardson in New York.
  • NYG Defensive Lineman
Eagles released DE Jerome McDougle, FB Jed Collins, FB Jason Davis, WR Michael Gasperson, DT Michael Marquardt, WR Shaheer McBride, and G Scott Young.
Davis lost out when Tony Hunt moved to fullback. McDougle made a strong run at a roster spot and it’ll help his chances of catching on elsewhere.

Jets signed FB Jason Davis, WR Britt Davis, DB Brannon Condren, DT Matt Matt Kroul, C Michael Parenton, and DT Ty Steinkuhler to reserve/futures contracts.
All of the players spent time on the Jets’ practice squad in 2009. Davis was claimed off waivers from Chicago last summer after seeing game action with the Bears and Raiders in 2008.
  • NYJ Running Back
Bears signed FB Jason Davis from their practice squad.
He will do the lead blocking Sunday in front of Matt Forte because Jason McKie is injured. A hometown kid, Davis played his college ball at Illinois.
  • FA Running Back
Bears FB Jason McKie (strained quadriceps) was held out of Thursday’s practice and is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Jags.
There’s a chance Matt Forte’s lead blocker could be out a few more weeks. Jason Davis, who led the way against the Vikings, is a capable fill-in.
  • NYJ Running Back
    Jets waived FB Jason Davis.
One of the stars of Hard Knocks goes down. Davis’ fate was sealed when the Jets drafted and proceeded to gush over rookie John “The Terminator” Conner. He has certainly put enough on tape to get a look from another team.

The Eagles will work out free agent FB Jason Davis on Monday.
We saw this one coming from the minute Leonard Weaver went down. Davis isn’t the short-yardage runner that Weaver is, but he is at least a serviceable lead blocker. Unfortunately for Hard Knocks star Davis, the Eagles don’t play the Jets this year. Davis was signed by the Eagles as an undrafted free agent back in 2006 but never got on the field.
