  • NYG Running Back #20
Giants RB Eric Gray was placed on injured reserve after suffering a calf injury in Week 7.
The rookie Gray was primarily used as a returner, getting 14 offensive touches this season, 13 coming in Week 5. He now heads to injured reserve along with OT Matt Peart. RB Jashaun Corbin was signed from the Panthers’ practice squad and RB Deon Jackson was claimed off waivers from the Browns to add depth to the Giants’ backfield.

Giants declared RB Jashaun Corbin, CB Rodarius Williams, LB Micah McFadden, G Wyatt Davis, G Jack Anderson, WR Kalil Pimpleton, and DT Henry Mondeaux inactive for the team’s Wild Card game against the Vikings.
The Giants did not have anyone listed on their final injury report of the week. All of their inactives are healthy scratches.

Giants signed Florida State RB Jashaun Corbin.
After starting his career at Texas A&M, Corbin (5'11/202) played his final two seasons at Florida State, rushing for 1,288 yards and 12 touchdowns on 224 carries and adding a 44-259-1 line through the air in 21 games. After declining to work out at the Combine, Corbin posted a 4.58 40 at his Pro Day with a 34-inch vertical and 9-foot-10 broad jump. Corbin shows good patience as a runner and can make people miss, but his path to playing time in New York will be as a receiving option, which is good because he looked comfortable running a variety of routes and catching the football at Florida State.

Florida State RB Jashaun Corbin will doo all athletic testing at the FSU Pro Day tomorrow.
Corbin (6'0"/215) only did field work at the NFL Combine a month ago, and he’ll be doing his athletic testing at the Pro Day. In meeting with teams, Corbin said they’ve liked his well-roundedness as a player, and his high character in the interviews. Corbin ran for 887 yards on just 143 carries last year, good for 6.2 yards per carry, and scored seven times on the ground. He chipped in 25 receptions for 144 yards and a score as well, hinting at that all-around game that has been impressing scouts.

Florida State redshirt sophomore RB Jashaun Corbin rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries in a 31-28 victory over Miami on Saturday.
It’s an up-and-down year for the Seminoles, as they started the season with four straight losses, then four-straight wins, now heading to game with back-to-back losses. This FSU offense continues to go heavy on the ground game led by quarterback Jordan Travis and Corbin (6'0/215). His touchdown came in the first quarter when he was able to take advantage of the short field following a Miami fumble. On the first play, he cut to the left and beat everyone on the sideline score from 12 yards. This now gives him a touchdown in his three of four games. A great comeback win for Florida State who was down 28-20 late in this game. FSU fans may not be happy with the record, but a win over their biggest rival will always put a smile on their face. Flordia State (4-6, ACC 3-4) will travel to Boston College next Saturday.

Florida State freshman RB Lawrance Toafili (lower body) was not on the field for warmups ahead of Saturday’s game against NC State.
Toafili (6'0/185) has been banged up in recent weeks, and it appears that he will not be able to play Saturday afternoon. The freshman running back has appeared in seven games this season, rushing for 141 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries while also catching seven passes for another 112 (and one score). Toafili’s absence would mean even more work for starter Jashaun Corbin.

Florida State redshirt sophomore RB Jashaun Corbin rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in a 59-3 victory over UMass on Saturday.
Corbin (6'0/220) led the Seminoles rushing attack that tallied 369 rushing yards on the day with a staggering 8.1 yards per carry average. With an 11.5 average himself, it was only Corbin’s second-best on the season with his breakout game against Louisville being his highest at 14.5. This was also his fifth game on the season with a touchdown as well. Corbin has showed that he is the best back in the Florida State backfield. Florida State faces Clemson next Saturday.

Florida State freshman RB Lawrance Toafili (undisclosed) is in uniform and warming up for Saturday’s game against Syracuse.
Toafili (6'0/185), who was injured during the Seminoles’ September 18 loss to Wake Forest, was held out of last weekend’s defeat at Louisville. The freshman running back appears to be good to go this week, as he’s in full uniform and was not limited during pregame warmups. Toafili’s return is key for Florida State, due to his ability to hurt opposing defenses as a pass-catcher. He and Jashaun Corbin will be the top options in the backfield for the winless Seminoles.

Florida State redshirt sophomore running back Jashaun Corbin rushed for 159 yards and one touchdown in Saturday’s 31-23 loss to Louisville on Saturday.
Corbin’s (6'0/215) big play came on the first drive of the third quarter when he he rushed up the middle for a 75-yard touchdown, which at the time, had narrowed Louisville’s lead to 31-20. The Seminoles did all they could to rally a comeback, but fell short despite a strong day on the ground from Corbin and backfield battery mate Treshaun Ward. The Seminoles will look to get their first win of the season next week when they host 3-1 Syracuse.

Florida State freshman RB Lawrance Toafili (undisclosed) was not seen on the field for warmups ahead of Saturday’s game against Louisville.
The Seminoles will apparently be without a versatile offensive threat, as Toafili (6'0/185) was not seen on the field during pregame warmups. The freshman running back was injured during last week’s loss at Wake Forest, accounting for two yards on two carries while also catching one pass for another 20 yards. Toafili’s absence likely means even more work for starting running back Jashaun Corbin.
