  • JAX Running Back #22
Jaguars declared RB JaMycal Hasty, WR Parker Washington, WR Elijah Cooks, and S Antonio Johnson inactive for Week 2 against the Chiefs.
Hasty will continue to be a healthy scratch as long as Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby are healthy. Bigbsy is the clear RB2 in Jacksonville and is a solid handcuff to stash in deeper leagues.
  • JAX Running Back #22
Jaguars declared RB JaMycal Hasty, WR Parker Washington, WR Elijah Cooks, CB Christian Braswell, S Antonio Johnson, and DL Tyler Lacy inactive for Week 1 against the Colts.
Hasty being inactive means Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby will handle the entire Jacksonville backfield workload against an exploitable Colts defense. Expect Etienne to lose some pass-catching work to Bigsby. Etienne profiles as a top-12 fantasy option in Week 1.
  • NE Running Back #39
Jaguars signed RB JaMycal Hasty to a contract extension.
Terms have not been disclosed or reported yet. Hasty was set to be a restricted free agent this offseason. He finished the 2022 season with a 46/194/2 rushing line and added 20/126/1 through the air. He’s a perfectly fine passing-down back that also can return kicks and is coming off a career-high 222-snap season for the Jaguars. This is probably good news for Travis Etienne as the commitment makes the Jaguars less likely to bring in someone who’d actually push Etienne for snaps.

  • NE Running Back #39
JaMycal Hasty had four rushes for 36 yards in the Jaguars’ Divisional Round loss to the Chiefs, adding one catch for seven yards.
The always-explosive Hasty ripped off a 23-yard run in the first half. As usual, he played well behind Travis Etienne, but did a lot with few opportunities. He finished the regular season with 194 yards and two touchdowns on 46 rushes, along with 20 catches for 126 yards and a touchdown. Hasty, 26, is a free agent who could land back in Jacksonville.

  • NE Running Back #39
JaMycal Hasty rushed 10 times for 33 yards and a touchdown in Jacksonville’s Week 17 win over Houston, adding six catches for 23 yards on six targets.
Hasty was active early, taking a touchdown from Travis Etienne managers on an early third-and-goal. He then saw the majority of the playing time on Jacksonville’s first drive of the second half before Snoop Conner vultured him back at the goal line. Hasty had not seen more than ten touches since Week 12’s win over Baltimore where Etienne left with a foot injury. He’ll likely remain off the FLEX radar for Week 18 unless the Jaguars plan on blowing out the Titans as well.

  • NE Running Back #39
JaMycal Hasty was held without a touch in the Jaguars’ Week 13 loss to the Lions.
The Jaguars were not kidding when they said Travis Etienne’s Week 12 departure with a foot issue was merely precautionary. Hasty’s Week 13 doughnut came even with Darrell Henderson (illness) on the shelf. Snoop Conner received touches ahead of him. With Etienne back and healthy, Hasty can be returned to waiver wires.

  • JAX Running Back #1
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said Travis Etienne (foot) is “good to go” for Week 13.
Etienne was able to practice in a limited capacity after injuring his foot in Week 12 against Baltimore. Though it’s hard to say whether he’ll get a full workload, Etienne should be started in all fantasy formats against a porous Detroit rush defense allowing the league’s third highest EPA against the run. Pederson said Darrell Henderson probably wouldn’t be active for Week 13 against the Lions if Etienne is able to play. JaMycal Hasty should be stashed in most 12-team leagues in case Etienne misses time over the season’s final month.

  • JAX Running Back #1
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson “feels good” about Travis Etienne’s availability for Week 13.
Etienne missed most of the Jaguars’ Week 12 win against the Ravens with a foot injury he sustained in the first half. He returned to the sideline with the foot heavily wrapped but did not re-enter the game. Pederson later said Etienne was cleared to return to action but the team exercised caution with their emerging superstar back. Pederson said Wednesday that the team wouldn’t rush Etienne back. Fantasy managers should watch Etienne’s practice participation closely in the coming days. JaMycal Hasty and Darrell Henderson would likely split backfield duties in Week 13 against the Lions if Etienne is out. Pro Football Focus grades Detroit’s defense as the tenth worst run-stopping unit in the league.

  • NE Running Back #39
JaMycal Hasty had 12 rushes for 28 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 12 win against the Ravens, adding five receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown.
Hasty broke a 28-yard reception for a touchdown shortly after Travis Etienne left the game with a foot injury. Hasty, who has shown solid pass-catching chops in his three NFL seasons, looks to be the next guy up in the Jacksonville backfield if Etienne misses time. The newly-acquired Darrell Henderson could complicate things if head coach Doug Pederson is determined to get him involved though. Hasty would be an exciting Week 12 waiver wire option if he has a shot to lead the Jags backfield against the horrendous Detroit rush defense.

  • JAX Running Back #1
Travis Etienne (foot) is questionable to return to the Jaguars’ Week 12 game against the Ravens.
Etienne made his way to the locker room with the help of trainers after picking up the foot injury. It’s a potentially disastrous situation after Etienne missed his entire rookie campaign with a Lisfranc fracture. For now, JaMycal Hasty is the Jaguars lead back. Darrell Henderson would be in position to take over the backfield if Etienne misses time.
