Texas Tech announced Tuesday that redshirt junior DB Ja’Marcus Ingram has joined the program as a graduate transfer.
Ingram (6'1/195) reunites with HC Matt Wells, who was his head coach at Utah State, in Lubbock. The Dallas native began his Utah State career as a walk-on, but he appeared in all 13 games (10 starts) as a redshirt freshman in 2017 and earned a scholarship. Ingram was limited to just six games in 2018 due to injury, and in two seasons at Utah State he accounted for 61 total tackles, 11 pass breakups and one interception. The sixth grad transfer to join the Texas Tech program for the upcoming season, Ingram has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
