  • FA Tackle #73
    Titans released OL Jamarco Jones.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Jones was “tossed from practices for multiple fights, including nearly sparking a brawl.” One player Jones attempted to go toe-to-toe with was DE Jeffery Simmons, which sounds like a bad idea on multiple fronts. Jones was in the final year of a two-year deal and never appeared in a regular-season game with the team.
  • DET Tackle #72
Titans placed OL Jamarco Jones (triceps) on injured reserve.
He’ll miss at least the next four weeks. Jones has not suited up at all this season and the Titans gave up the ghost on him returning in the near future after another DNP on Wednesday. Aaron Brewer will continue to get run at left guard. This isn’t great news for Tennessee’s running game that was already off to a rough start.

  • DET Tackle #72
Titans signed OT Jamarco Jones, formerly of the Seahawks, to a two-year, $5.8 million contract.
Jones was drafted by the Seahawks in the fifth-round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He never took over as a starter for the team but did pitch in for seven starts over the past three seasons. He was taken as a tackle at Ohio State but has played every position but center on the line. Jones gives the Titans some versatility but projects as a strong backup.

  • DET Tackle #72
Seahawks selected Ohio State OT Jamarco Jones with the No. 168 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
Jones (6’4/299) made 27 starts at left tackle for the Buckeyes, earning first-team All-Big 12 as a senior. He struggled at the Combine, managing second-percentile SPARQ results with a painful 8.32 three-cone time. Jones held his own at the highest level of college football and offers plus length (35 1/8-inch arms), but he is a sort of tweener tackle-guard who offers neither mauling nor dancing-bear qualities.
