  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jaguars HC Doug Pederson said Jamal Agnew suffered a lower leg fracture in Week 17’s win over the Panthers and is done for the season.
Agnew is a special teams ace and offensive weapon for the Jaguars. He’s caught only 14 passes for 225 yards and one touchdown this season but is capable of breaking any game open at a moment’s notice. The veteran receiver is in the final year of a three-year deal with the Jaguars and will, in all likelihood, enter free agency in the coming months. He’ll likely play in a similar role wherever he lands next.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew (ankle) is questionable to return to Week 17.
Agnew and quarterback C.J. Beathard connected on a beautiful 48-yard pass before Agnew was injured on the tackle. He was down on the field for a while before leaving, throwing his helmet to the ground, and heading into the blue medical tent. With Zay Jones and Christian Kirk both out, Agnew had been playing a bigger role in the Jaguars passing attack on Sunday. His injury would likely leave more opportunities for rookie Parker Washington.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jamal Agnew caught both targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars’ Week 15 loss to the Ravens.
Agnew scored the only points of the game for a Jaguars team that committed numerous mistakes throughout. Agnew broke free of corner coverage down the sideline and outran the safety for a 65-yard score in the second half. He’ll remain a shaky fantasy bet moving forward as the fourth option through the air for the Jaguars.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jaguars opened the 21-day practice window for WR Jamal Agnew.
Agnew has been on injured reserve with shoulder and rib injuries. He could return this week against the Ravens and see more routes than usual with Christian Kirk (core) done for the season. Agnew, a kick returner who has nine catches on the season, can be stashed in deeper fantasy formats.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew (shoulder/ribs) does not practice on Wednesday.
Agnew had been getting extra looks with Zay Jones sidelined with a knee injury, but he remains a distant option in the passing game behind Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk. He has just nine catches for 90 yards on the season.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew (quad) is questionable for Week 5 vs Buffalo.
Agnew missed the first of two London games with his quad injury. A limited week of practice gives him a chance to return Sunday. With Parker Washington (knee) out, Jacksonville would be down both its kick returners if Agnew doesn’t play.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #7
Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee) was limited in practice on Wednesday.
Getting in a limited practice is a step in the right direction for Jones, who was unable to practice last week and was inactive for the second straight game. He’d certainly love to be on the field on Sunday when the Jaguars take on his former team, the Buffalo Bills. With the Bills suffering key injuries in their secondary to safety Jordan Poyer and cornerbacks Tre’Davious White and Christian Beford, the Jaguars would love to have a healthy complement of receivers to take advantage. Fellow Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew (quad) was also limited in practice, as was OLD Dawuane Smoot (achilles), and S Anthony Johnson (hamstring).
  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jaguars declared WR Jamal Agnew, WR Zay Jones, WR Elijah Cooks, S Antonio Johnson, and LB Devin Lloyd inactive for Week 4 against the Falcons.
Agnew entered the weekend listed as questionable because of a thigh injury. With Agnew and Zay Jones out, Tim Jones will operate as the team’s third receiver with Jacob Harris getting a few snaps at receiver as well. Neither player is worth a look outside of larger DFS tournaments.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #39
Jamal Agnew caught 4-of-5 targets for 49 yards in the Jaguars’ Week 3 loss to the Texans.
Agnew saw increased usage with Zay Jones out, reeling in four receptions. He fumbled on a crucial late-second quarter drive in Houston territory, which led to a Texans field goal the other way. Even if Jones remains out, Agnew is nothing more than a deep flex play in Week 4 against the Falcons.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #7
Zay Jones (knee) did not practice on Thursday.
That’s two straight missed practices for Jones, who was called day-to-day by head coach Doug Pederson earlier in the week. Two missed practices to start the week could be an indicator that Jones will miss Week 3 against the Texans, but he still has a chance to log a limited session on Friday. If Jones is held out, Jamal Agnew has a chance to see an increase in snaps, but would be hard to trust as anything more than a deep FLEX play.
