Ravens CB Nate Wiggins (shoulder/illness) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 9 against the Broncos.
Ravens CB Arthur Maulet (neck) will also play in Week 9. Starter CB Marlon Humphrey (knee) was limited all week and is now labeled as questionable. Backup Jalyn Armour-Davis (knee) was a healthy participant on Wednesday and Thursday but showed up on the Friday injury report as a DNP. He is also questionable to play in Week 9.

Ravens selected Alabama CB Jalyn Armour-Davis with the No. 119 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
A first-year starter in 2021, Armour-Davis (6'0/197) finished with 32 tackles and three interceptions, resulting in All-SEC Second Team honors. He is coming into the draft as one of the more exciting prospects with all the traits you want in an NFL cornerback. Armour-Davis has the look of an elite corner with his size and athleticism. As a former 100-meter state champion, he has the speed to guard downfield and can stay on pace with the fastest receivers in the game. His 4.39 40-yard time shows that. He also displays impressive footwork, showing it off in press coverage where you see him mirror a receiver’s route almost perfectly, granting minimal separation and using his length to disrupt passes. There’s not much he needs to improve, except sometimes he can be a little hesitant on his first move. Although he has the athleticism to recover, it could hinder him slightly against top-tier talent. There is very little to nitpick on Armour-Davis, and he can become of the bigger sleepers in this draft.

CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso said Alabama DB Jalyn Armour-Davis “will be in my final top 100.”
Armour-Davis (6'1/192) ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine, and put on a solid showing at Alabama’s pro day. Armour-Davis won’t hear his name called in the first round, but he turned in a solid 2021 at Alabama after seeing limited action in 2019 and 2020 due to medical issues. Per PFF.com, Armour-Davis allowed 27 receptions for 290 yards and no touchdowns last season, while forcing three interceptions and breaking up three passes. Opposing quarterbacks had a 52.3 QBR when throwing in Armour-Davis’ direction, and he drew just two penalties on the season.

Alabama CB Jalyn Armour-Davis will enter the draft.
Armour-Davis (6'0/165) will forgo his senior year and declare for the draft. He finished the season with three interceptions and four passes deflected for the Crimson Tide.

  • BAL Cornerback #5
Alabama HC Nick Saban did not offer a specific recovery timetable when asked about the status of redshirt freshman CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (knee).
Armour-Davis (6'0/165) suffered a season-ending knee injury during pregame warmups for last September’s game against Arkansas State. He was not healthy enough to take part in spring practice, but if you were hoping for a concrete timetable from Coach Saban, no such luck. During a fundraiser on Wednesday, he said that “Jalyn’s got some medical issues now that he’s going to have to work through over the summer.” Saban figures to give us a little more information (maybe?) when preseason camps lurch to life in two months. Armour-Davis signed with Alabama as a four-star recruit in the 2018 class. He’s a developmental prospect at this early juncture in his career.

Uncommitted four-star 2018 CB Jalyn Armour-Davis listed Florida, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Florida State and USC as the finalists for his pledge.
It is no real surprise that Armour-Davis has slotted four SEC programs among his finalists, as the 6-foot, 165-pounder hails from Mobile, Alabama. Auburn and Florida State have both hosted him for recent unofficial visits. Scout.com ranks Armour-Davis as the No. 1 prospect in the state and No. 152 overall. He told the outlet that he plans on making a commitment “pretty soon.”
  • BAL Cornerback #5
Alabama received a verbal commitment from four-star 2018 CB Jalyn Armour-Davis.
"[Armour-Davis] will enter college ahead of the curve in terms of technique, scheme versatility and coverage skill,” writes ESPN’s Billy Tucker, “but will need to add size and strength to his leaner frame for press and run support before we see him making an impact as a full-time player.” The analyst sees the 6-foot, 165-pounder initially beginning his career with Alabama as a nickelback and compares him to Miami Dolphins CB Maurice Smith, noting, “The former Alabama and Georgia CB had a similar frame, underneath instincts and recognition skills as Armour-Davis out of high school.” Armour-Davis ranks as ESPN’s No. 223 overall prospect. He gives the Tide four ESPN 300 commitments in the 2018 class. Alabama has been out to an oddly slow start on the trail, but we expect them to charge hard as things get serious this fall. It would be a surprise to see them still on the outside of the top-10 on the major recruiting outlets when all is said and done.
