USC redshirt senior OL Jalen McKenzie announced on Monday that he is declaring for the 2022 NFL Draft.
McKenzie (6'5/320) has played both right guard and right tackle for the Trojans, and allowed just seven sacks in his collegiate career. In 2021, McKenzie did not allow a sack, and had the three-highest grades of his career on Pro Football Focus in his final three games of the 2021 season against UCLA, BYU and Cal. McKenzie was a three-star recruit from the 2017 class, and the 427th ranked player in 247Sports’ composite rankings when he joined the Trojans, and is the son of former NFL linebacker Reggie McKenzie.

USC redshirt sophomore OL Jalen McKenzie took some reps at right guard during Tuesday’s practice, according to Antonio Morales of The Athletic.
McKenzie (6'5/310) being used at right guard is an interesting development, as for much of fall camp prior to Tuesday he was working at right tackle. With the redshirt sophomore moved inside grad transfer Drew Richmond, who was backing up Austin Jackson at left tackle, was used at right tackle. USC’s still doing some shuffling up front apparently, so we’ll see who the starting linemen are when the Trojans open their season August 31 against Fresno State.
