Titans selected Maryland OT Jaelyn Duncan with the No. 186 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Duncan (6’5.625/306) was a 4-star recruit, and the 11th-ranked offensive tackle in the 2018 recruiting class, from New Carrollton, Maryland, according to 247 Sports. A four-year starter in the B1G, Duncan has seen many pass rushers that would go on to be drafted. With all the physical gifts a bookend could hope to have, good arm length, solid weight, and functional athleticism, one might expect him to have progressed more as a player throughout his college career. Yet, even in his final season, he was giving up two straight sacks to Zach Harrison to end a final comeback upset bid against Ohio State. Nonetheless, an Offensive Line Coach will fall in love with the mobility and agility that Duncan brings to the table while working to develop coordination between his upper and lower halves and better balance while on the move. He is similar in many ways to his predecessor from College Park, Bruce Campbell.

Maryland redshirt freshman Jaelyn Duncan will make the first start of his career against Syracuse this Saturday.
Duncan (6'6/323) was the No. 23 ranked offensive lineman out of the 2018 high school recruiting class. He was a huge signing for Maryland and is now ready to fulfill his projections and slide into the left tackle spot for the Terps.

The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach notes that Maryland redshirt freshman T Jaelyn Duncan is expected to start at left tackle to begin the 2019 season.
Duncan was a four-star recruit in 2018, and the Terrapins gave the 6-foot-5, 335-pound tackle a chance to get stronger in a redshirt season. "...though he’s inexperienced at a vital position, coaches are pleased that he got some experience last year due to the new redshirt rule,” Auerbach writes. Duncan will need to “grow up fast” as she also notes, but there’s certainly upside here.

Maryland received a verbal commitment from four-star 2018 T Jaelyn Duncan.
This is a big one for HC D.J. Durkin, as Duncan ranks as ESPN’s No. 45 overall prospect for the 2018 cycle. Scout.com is considerably less high on him, tagging the 6-foot-6, 300-pounder as the No. 26 tackle prospect in the class. Outlet analyst Brian Dohn would like to see Duncan work on his technique, particularly in terms of his footwork, which could be “quicker and cleaner.”

ESPN’s Craig Haubert notes that Maryland four-star 2018 verbal T commit Jaelyn Duncan is " a big, physical offensive line prospect with a high ceiling for development.”
“The four-star is more than a big body, as he also possesses excellent athleticism for his size, can be an effective blocker on the move and mirror rushers in pass protection,” Haubert writes. The analyst adds that the 6-foot-6, 300-pounder possesses “a wealth of raw ability” while comparing him to former Texas A&M T Germain Ifedi. A freshman redshirt is well within play depending on how Duncan develops over the next year-plus.
