Grant Calcaterra caught 3-of-3 targets for 58 yards in the Eagles’ Week 8 win over the Bengals.
Calcaterra continued to fill in for the injured Dallas Goedert (hamstring) and caught a few deep targets on the day. He was the No. 3 pass-catching option, with a 28-yard catch his longest of the game. Jack Stoll also saw increased snaps with Goedert out, catching his only target for six targets, though he was primarily in for blocking. If Goedert continues to miss time, Calcaterra has low-end TE2 fantasy viability.
  • FA Tight End #89
    Giants released TE Jack Stoll.
Stoll missed time during training camp with a brain injury and never made an impact upon his return, according to New York beat writers. The former Eagles tight end is likely to land with another team before Week 1. The Giants tight end depth chart includes Daniel Bellinger, Theo Johnson, and Lawrence Cager.
  • NYG Tight End #89
Giants signed TE Jack Stoll, formerly of the Eagles, to a one-year contract.
A 2021 UDFA, Stoll has spent his entire three-year career in Philly. Although he has just 20 career catches, Stoll could be part of the Giants’ pass-catching calculus if Darren Waller goes through with retirement. Already 26 years old, Stoll isn’t terribly projectable up the seam.
  • PHI Tight End #88
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Dallas Goedert (arm) is expected to undergo surgery and will likely miss multiple weeks.
How many weeks Goedert misses will be determined after his MRI and surgery, but the veteran tight end will miss at least a few games. The veteran tight end has caught 38 passes for 410 yards and two touchdowns this season, and is a key piece of the Eagles’ offensive attack both on the air and on the ground. Jack Stoll, a UDFA from the 2021 draft class, is listed behind Goedert on the team’s unofficial depth chart, and played the second-most snaps among Eagles tight ends in Week 9. He would be the early favorite to start after the Week 10 bye.
  • MIA Tight End #80
Jack Stoll caught 3-of-3 targets for 41 yards in the Eagles’ Week 13 win over the Titans.
Stoll appears to be the Eagles’ primary pass-catching tight end with Dallas Goedert injured. However, his role is a far cry from Goedert’s. He’ll be a complete desperation option in Week 14 against the Giants.

  • PHI Tight End #88
Eagles placed TE Dallas Goedert (shoulder) on injured reserve.
The news keeps getting worse for Goedert after he suffered a serious shoulder injury in the fourth quarter of Philly’s Week 10 loss to the Commanders. The Eagles will be without their stud tight end for at least the next four weeks. Goedert had commanded 21 percent of the team’s targets through Week 10. TE Tyree Jackson, who was activated from the PUP list on Wednesday, could fill in for Goedert, or split time with Jack Stoll.

  • Tight End #84
Eagles activated TE Tyree Jackson (ACL) from the PUP list.
A converted quarterback with athleticism to spare, Jackson should be considered the favorite to replace Dallas Goedert (shoulder), who on Wednesday was placed on injured reserve and will miss at least the next four games. Jackson in Week 18 last season was targeted four times on 27 pass routes, catching three for 22 yards and a touchdown. Jackson is a sneaky waiver add in deeper formats. Jack Stoll and Grant Calcaterra will mix in at tight end too.

  • PHI Tight End #88
Dallas Goedert (shin) is questionable to return against the Commanders.
Goedert was having a solid outing before the first half injury, catching three balls for 26 yards and a touchdown as Jalen Hurts sliced and diced Washington’s overmatched coverage unit. With Goedert sidelined, Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll are splitting pass route running duties.

  • MIA Tight End #80
Eagles rookie TE Jack Stoll has a “pretty strong shot” at a roster spot.
The Eagles signed Richard Rodgers this offseason, but don’t have much else behind Dallas Goedert. Stoll, an undrafted free agent from Nebraska, could open the year as the No. 3 tight end if the Eagles trade Zach Ertz. Tyree Jackson, Hakeem Butler, Jason Croom, and Caleb Wilson are also competing for roster spots.

  • MIA Tight End #80
Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline writes that Nebraska TE Jack Stoll possesses the “size and movement skills to line up as a move tight end on Sunday(s).”
Stoll (6'4/260) logged back-to-back seasons of at least 20 catches and at least 230 yards across the 2018 and 2019 campaigns. He managed just four games played for the 2020 season. Pauline likes the base athleticism on this one -- shown out at Huskers pro day, when Stoll notched a 4.60-second 40-yard dash and (more impressively) a 6.86-second dash through the three-cone drill. Stoll is vying for a late Day 3 selection in the draft. Pauline ticks off the Jets, Falcons, Browns and Vikings as potential players for the tight end.
