Eagles signed WR Kyle Philips, formerly of the Titans, to their practice squad.
The Eagles add Philips as a practice squad slot-receiving option, behind Jahan Dotson and Britain Covey, who are listed as the slot wideouts on the Eagles’ active roster. Philips has dealt with injuries through his two NFL seasons so far, catching 23 passes in 13 games played for the Titans. The Eagles also signed OL Jack Driscoll to their practice squad, while releasing S Caden Sterns and TE Kevin Foelsch to make room.
  • MIA Guard #63
Dolphins agreed to terms with OL Jack Driscoll, formerly of the Eagles.
Driscoll played in 54 games with the Eagles over the last four seasons while making 17 starts. He’ll presumably start the season with the Dolphins as a player with positional flexibility who adds depth across the interior and exterior part of the line but he could play his way into a role if he impresses in camp or if another player struggles.
  • PHI Guard #63
Eagles activated G/OT Jack Driscoll from injured reserve.
Driscoll’s activation is significant because he figures to move into the starting lineup immediately, playing right guard with Landon Dickerson moving to the interior on the left side. Josiah Scott, who was also activated from injured reserve, is expected to backup Avonte Maddox on Sunday.

  • PHI Guard #63
Eagles RT Jack Driscoll (knee) is out for the season.
Driscoll played through an MCL injury last week against New Orleans. Testing of Driscoll’s knee showed more extensive damage to the MCL. Drafted by the Eagles with the 145th pick this year, Driscoll was the team’s second best pass blocker in 2020, per Pro Football Focus. The Eagles will have to continue shuffling their offensive line with this latest injury.

  • SEA Front Office #73
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Jason Peters wants a raise if the Eagles move him to left tackle.
Peters is the frontrunner to start for LT Andre Dillard (torn biceps, IR). He signed a one-year, $3 million contract last month to replace RG Brandon Brooks, but it’s now possible he could hold out for more money. The Eagles are still exploring their options, with fourth-rounder Jack Driscoll getting some tackle reps. They may need to restructure their deal with Peters if they want him at left tackle in Week 1.

  • PHI Guard #63
Eagles signed OG Jack Driscoll to a four-year contract.
A two-year starter in coach Gus Malzahn’s spread RPO offense, Driscoll (6'4/306) made 20 starts at left guard, left tackle, and right tackle at UMass before transferring and finishing his career on Auburn’s right side. Only 0.5% of his offensive snaps in college resulted in a quarterback hurry, hit, or sack, the second-lowest mark among all FBS tackles. Coaches at the next level will likely be drawn to his high football IQ, which he leveraged into a 3.8 GPA and William V. Campbell Trophy nomination for the American college football player with the best combination of academics, community service, and on-field performance. Unfortunately, his lacking strength and length project him as a utility lineman with a solid yet unspectacular skillset.
