Steelers traded up with the Dolphins to select Wisconsin DL Isaiahh Loudermilk with the No. 156 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Steelers traded a 2022 fourth-rounder to move up with Miami. Loudermilk battled multiple knee injuries over his career but, when healthy, served as a key piece at defensive end with the Badgers. Badgers’ 3-4 base scheme. Per The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, Loudermilk’s counter moves are often ineffective if he doesn’t win at the snap but he is quick to knife through gaps when rushing opposing quarterbacks. Overall, Loudermilk will have to lean on his above-average energy and toughness to develop into a rotational piece with the Steelers.
