Giants re-signed WR Isaiah Hodgins to their practice squad.
Hodgins was waived by the Giants on Tuesday as part of their final roster cuts, but the 25-year-old will still stay in the organization. It wouldn’t be a surprise at all if Hodgins ends up earning targets by the end of the year, but it’ll take unforeseeable events for him to see enough volume to make him fantasy relevant in 2024.

    Giants waived WR Isaiah Hodgins.
Hodgins was a contributor the last two seasons, totaling 54 receptions for 581 yards and seven touchdowns for the Giants. However, the 25-year-old found himself the odd man out playing behind a deeper receiver group. The Giants also waived/released LB Darrian Beavers, WR Miles Boykin, TE Lawrence Cager, LB K.J. Cloyd, OLB Tomon Fox, DB Mario Goodrich, CB Tre Herndon, CB Darnay Holmes, S Alex Johnson, FB Jakob Johnson, OL Marcellus Johnson, S Raheem Layne, CB David Long Jr., OL Jalen Mayfield, K Jude McAtamney, OT Josh Miles, RB Dante Miller, C Jimmy Morrisey, OLB Ovie Oghoufo, WR Allen Robinson, DL Casey Rogers, and TE Jack Stoll.

Giants non-tendered restricted free agent WR Isaiah Hodgins.
Hodgins stepped up in a big way for the Giants’ undermanned 2022 receiver corps, but he didn’t take another step forward amidst the G-Men’s quarterback chaos in 2023. 6-foot-3 with 58 career catches at the reasonable age of 25, Hodgins should draw interest from teams hunting for boundary depth.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Isaiah Hodgins caught 3-of-3 targets for 36 yards in the Giants’ Week 18 win over the Eagles.
Hodgins came on strong at the end of the 2022 season going 33-451-4 in only eight games. He entered 2023 with some promise, but the crowded receiver room coupled with ineffective quarterback play led to regression for the third-year pro. Hodgins failed to top 25 receiving yards in a single game and with an expiring contract looming, it’s fair to wonder if Hodgins next opportunity will come elsewhere. He ends his 2023 campaign with 21 receptions, 230 yards and three touchdowns.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Isaiah Hodgins caught both targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in the Giants’ Week 14 win over the Packers.
Hodgins continues to see sparse usage while sharing the field with a slew of New York wide receivers. That said, he made his presence felt where it matters most yet again, scoring from eight yards out on a dot to the back corner of end zone. Hodgins remains a touchdown-dependent fantasy option as we head into the fantasy playoffs.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Isaiah Hodgins caught his only target for 12 yards and a touchdown in the Giants’ Week 12 win over the Patriots.
Hodgins was only targeted once by Tommy DeVito, but he fought off defenders to score a red zone touchdown on the catch. Hodgins has barely had fantasy-relevant weeks this season, a matter made worse by the Giants going to their third-string quarterback. Keep him off fantasy radars for the rest of the season.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Isaiah Hodgins caught both of his targets for 19 yards in the Giants’ Week 5 loss to the Dolphins.
Hodgins caught four passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. He doesn’t have another game over 24 yards or three catches on his 2023 resume. Playing an ancillary role on a floundering offense, Hodgins is not on the fantasy radar heading into Week 6.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Isaiah Hodgins caught all three targets for 24 yards in the Giants’ Week 4 loss to the Seahawks.
Hodgins has largely been an afterthought in the passing game this season even though he ranks second on the team in snaps at the wide receiver position through four weeks. Fantasy managers that continue to hold Hodgins in hopes he turns it around might do better to just release him to the waiver wire.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Isaiah Hodgins caught 4-of-5 targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Giants’ Week 2 win over the Cardinals.
Hodgins got in the mix by catching Daniel Jones’ second touchdown to tie the game. While reliable from a real football standpoint, he shouldn’t be counted on as a fantasy asset. He’ll continue to be one of the Giants’ top receivers.
  • NYG Wide Receiver #18
Isaiah Hodgins caught 1-of-3 targets for 24 yards in the Giants’ Week 1 loss to the Cowboys.
Hodgins also lost a fumble on his lone reception after Trevon Diggs ripped the ball loose as the Giants wide receiver was headed to the ground. His reception came on a nice crossing route up the seam between the linebackers and covering safeties, but Hodgins appears to be behind tight end Darren Waller, running back Saquon Barkley, and fellow wide receiver Darius Slayton in the weekly pecking order for targets in this offense.
