Texas WR Isaiah Bond filed a federal complaint against his accuser, claiming he was “setup for financial gain.”
The news comes from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who is passing along an email Bond’s agent sent to all 32 teams. In it, Bond claims he is completely innocent after being arrested for sexual assault. He turned himself in to the Frisco Police Department last Thursday. The former Texas and Alabama receiver was eying Day Two of the draft before this incident came to light. Now, NFL teams will have to decide if they are willing to take on the risk with Bond.

Texas WR Isaiah Bond turned himself in Thursday morning on a sexual assault warrant issued by the Frisco Police Department.
Per the report, “Bond, 20, was subsequently released after posting bail.” Further details on the matter have not yet been released. In a statement made to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Bond said he is fully cooperating with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Bond spent 2022 and 2023 at Alabama before transferring to Texas for 2024. The Texas product had been a projected Day 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but if this investigation hangs over him, it’s possible he falls.

Packers hosted Texas WR Isaiah Bond and Stanford WR Elic Ayomanor for visits.
The Packers are in the mix to take a receiver, potentially on day two of the draft. The team hosted Texas’ Isaiah Bond and Stanford’s Elic Ayomanor for visits. Bond is a shifty receiver under six feet tall while Ayomanor is more of a big body target. The Packers may take a shot on one of these receivers to add a new skillset to a receiver room with lots of draft investment in it over the last few years.

NBC Houston’s Aaron Wilson reports that an NFL team assigned Texas WR Isaiah Bond a first-round draft grade after Bond ran a 4.34-second 40-yard dash at Texas’ Pro Day.
Wilson also reports that the Bills have scheduled three separate meetings with Bond, including a Thursday dinner, a private Friday workout and a trip to the Bills’ facility in Orchard Park. Bond is also scheduled to meet with the Browns and Packers, and will participate in the Falcons’ local prospect day. The Bills traded back five spots in the 2024 NFL draft, allowing the Chiefs to take the speedy Xavier Worthy, while the Bills later drafted Keon Coleman. Worthy caught 30 more passes than Coleman last year, and the Bills are still searching for a speedy perimeter receiver. Perhaps, Bond is their man.
