  • JAX Tackle #72
Packers signed T/G Herbert Taylor, formerly of the Broncos.
Taylor was considered a zone-blocking prospect coming out of TCU in 2007 because he’s heady and athletic. He’s appeared in 18 career games, making one start. Taylor will be a versatile reserve during Green Bay’s playoff push.
  • JAX Tackle #72
Packers waived OT Herb Taylor, WR Andrew Brewer, S Micah Pellerin, and CB Dion Turner.
They’re four predictable cuts a few days before the Packers were required to make them. Taylor, 28, has the only NFL experience of the group, appearing in 18 career games with one start. The other three players were undrafted rookies.
  • FA Tight End #83
Jaguars signed TE Stephen Spach and OT Herb Taylor.
Spach is a blocking specialist and will play behind Marcedes Lewis and Zach Potter if active on game days. He was with the Rams in 2011. Taylor was with the Packers this summer.
  • JAX Tackle #72
Chiefs signed sixth-round OL Herbert Taylor to a three-year contract.
Taylor, a remarkably athletic former TCU Horned Frog, will likely convert to guard after playing tackle in college. He should be a reserve as a rookie.
  • JAX Tackle #72
Herb Taylor will be the Chiefs’ starting left tackle throughout the preseason with Branden Albert (foot) sidelined.
Taylor is 6'3/295, making him easily the league’s smallest left tackle. The former TCU Horned Frog was supposed to convert to guard coming out of college. If he has to start any real games, K.C. could be in serious trouble.
  • JAX Tackle #72
    Broncos signed OT Herb Taylor.
The smallish Taylor will give the Broncos some depth with Ryan Harris (toe) done for the season.
  • JAX Tackle #72
    Broncos waived OT Herb Taylor.
Taylor lasted just a week because the Broncos suffered a rash of injuries in the secondary. Safety Renaldo Hill (ankle) is doubtful and nickel back Ty Law (hamstring) is questionable.
  • FA Tackle #76
Kansas City tackle Branden Albert was carted off the field with a dislocated elbow late in the first half in Week 4.
Herb Taylor took his place. It isn’t yet known how long the injury could sideline Albert, but it appears he could miss a substantial amount of time. Fortunately, the offense continued to perform well with Taylor in the game in the second half.
  • FA Tackle #76
Chiefs LT Branden Albert (elbow) has been ruled out for Week 5 at Carolina.
Herbert Taylor, who isn’t a terrible pass protector but is likely to struggle in the run game, will start and square off against a red-hot Julius Peppers.
  • JAX Tackle #72
Broncos activated OT Herb Taylor from the practice squad.
A small but athletic lineman, Taylor will provide depth with guard Russ Hochstein on injured reserve.
