QB Gibran Hamdan (ankle) expects to be ready for training camp.
The NFLE MVP broke his ankle in Europe. He’ll battle for a roster spot if he’s able to go.
  • BUF Quarterback
Seahawks QB Gibran Hamdan was named NFL Europe MVP.
Cut by the Redskins before 2004, Hamdan has little to no chance to even make Seattle’s roster. Hamdan set an NFL Europe record for passer rating this season. The top three before this season were Kevin Daft (2000), Danny Wuerffel (2000) and David Archer (1992).
  • BUF Quarterback
49ers claimed QB Gibran Hamdan off waivers from the Seahawks.
Hamdan, a possible NFLE Hall of Fame candidate, was cut by Seattle just this morning. He pushed Jesse Palmer off the roster.
  • BUF Quarterback
49ers signed QB Gibran Hamdan, WR C.J. Brewer, LB Bobby Iwuchukwu, FB Zak Keasey, and G Tavares Washington to their practice squad.
Hamdan might be a better player than Niners third quarterback Shaun Hill, but Hill doesn’t have practice squad eligibility remaining. Keasey can play both fullback and linebacker.
  • BUF Quarterback
    Redskins released quarterback Gibran Hamdan.
The addition of Mark Brunell left no open spots on the Washington QB depth chart.
  • BUF Quarterback
Bills declared QB Gibran Hamdan (3rd QB), LB Coy Wire, RB Shaud Williams, DB Jerametrius Butler, OL Christian Gaddis, FB Ryan Neufeld, DE Bryan Copeland, and DT Jason Jefferson inactive for Week 15.
None of these injuries are as significant as the fact that it’s expected to be snowy and windy in Cleveland for the length of the game.
  • FA Quarterback #5
Trent Edwards (sprained wrist) missed Bills practice again Thursday.
It looks like Gibran Hamdan may be called on for backup duty Sunday.
  • FA Quarterback #5
Trent Edwards (doubtful, wrist) missed his third straight practice Friday.
Edwards is expected to serve as Buffalo’s emergency third quarterback on Sunday. If J.P. Losman gets hurt, untested Gibran Hamdan will replace him.
  • BUF Quarterback
Bills declared QB Gibran Hamdan, RB Fred Jackson, CB Ashton Youboty, LB Leon Joe, TE Matt Murphy, DE Bryan Copeland and DT Jason Jefferson inactive for Week 10.
Trent Edwards is active as the backup to starter J.P. Losman
  • FA Quarterback #5
Trent Edwards (concussion) will not dress for Sunday’s game against the Texans.
Edwards, who has been medically cleared to return, will not even back up Ryan Fitzpatrick. That job will go to Gibran Hamdan once again. Edwards may not get his starting job back if Fitzpatrick continues to win games.
