Raiders placed OT Elliot Vallejo on the reserve/retired list.
Vallejo was an unlikely candidate for the 53-man roster when he signed a month ago off the street. The 6-foot-7, 312-pound mammoth lineman battled injuries throughout his brief career.
  • Raiders signed OT Elliot Vallejo, formerly of the Cardinals.
Vallejo, a 26-year-old former undrafted free agent, spent time on Oakland’s practice squad last season. He’s probably only a practice body for camp.
  • Cardinals backup LT Elliot Vallejo is out indefinitely with a fractured kneecap.
Vallejo doesn’t have any major ligament damage, so his recovery is expected to be shorter than usual for this injury. Oliver Ross is the team’s new No. 2 left tackle.
  • Cardinals released OT Elliot Vallejo with an injury settlement.
Vallejo’s broken kneecap won’t keep him out all year, so the Cards can re-sign him near midseason if he’s healthy. He’s an option at backup right tackle.
  • Cardinals waived/injured OT Elliot Vallejo.
He’ll clear waivers and go on injured reserve. Vallejo broke his kneecap early in training camp. The 25-year-old should get another shot in 2010.
  • FA Center #63
The Cardinals extended tenders to exclusive rights free agent C Lyle Sendlein, FB Tim Castille, LB Pago Togafau, and OT Elliot Vallejo.
Vallejo and Togafau are both projects. Sendlein will likely start for a second straight season and be a great bargain. He’ll cost less than $400,000.
  • Cardinals promoted OT Elliot Vallejo from their practice squad.
The undrafted rookie from UC-Davis will be low on the depth chart.
  • Cardinals re-signed T Elliot Vallejo to practice squad.
He was waived last week after being active for four games this season.
  • Cardinals waived T Elliot Vallejo.
Vallejo has practice squad eligibility remaining.
