Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said “it’s been trending that way” when asked if second-round G Ed Ingram was starting at right guard.
Ingram sat out the preseason finale after posting an 87.3 PFF run block grade in his 64 snaps. Beating out free-agent signing Jesse Davis introduces some extra upside to Minnesota’s interior line, which could help Dalvin Cook and company in the run game.

Vikings selected LSU OL Ed Ingram with the No. 59 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Ingram (6’3/307) was a 35-game starter after signing with LSU as a four-star recruit. In 2021, he was named Second Team All-SEC. Ingram is built like a lunchbox, sawed-off and broad-shouldered. Equipped with the hand strength of a boxer and active feet, Ingram establishes a tone with his punch and looks to finish you off with footwork. He’s a fluid mover who consistently threatens second-level linebackers, athleticism he proved during the pre-draft process with a 74th-percentile relative athletic score. He is a heady player with a mean streak who didn’t take a penalty the past two seasons. Ingram’s punch power stuns defenders, but he can be beaten on recovery due to a propensity to prioritize initial pop over keeping a stable base. If he can clean that up, he should be a fit for any system. He reminds us of Jonah Jackson.

LSU redshirt sophomore G Ed Ingram (off-field) has been reinstated to the team.
Ingram (6'4/314) was indefinitely suspended last summer after two counts of sexual assault were levied against him, but those charges have now been dropped, paving his way to return to the team. The former four-star recruit started 12 games out of the gate as a true freshman in 2017 and makes for a tremendous midseason add. It might take him a little while to get back into the swing of things, but the timing is perfect, here, what with LSU about to set into their SEC schedule.

LSU HC Ed Orgeron said Thursday that he’s hopeful suspended sophomore G Edward Ingram can return at some point this season.
Ingram has been suspended from the program since last August, when he was arrested on two counts of sexual assault. The sophomore guard is scheduled to appear in court September 13. Seniors Damien Lewis and Adrian Magee are projected to be the starters at the guard positions, and the Tigers don’t lack for talent behind them with Chasen Hines, Donavaughn Campbell and Kardell Thomas all competing for their spots in the pecking order.

LSU HC Ed Orgeron said there is no update on suspended sophomore G Edward Ingram.
Ingram was indefinitely suspended last August after being arrested on two counts of sexual assault. There has been little said since the suspension, so we are just in a waiting game. With the seriousness of the case, the Tigers are rightfully waiting it out.

LSU received a verbal commitment from four-star 2017 G Edward Ingram.
Colorado was pulling out all of the lures in their tackle box in order to try to land Ingram, but no dice. The 6-foot-4, 327-pounder decided to shut down his recruitment in December. He could still potentially flip on the Tigers come National Signing Day on Wednesday, though by all accounts, that is not likely. He has been in their corner since last spring. Rivals ranks the DeSoto, Texas, native as the No. 16 tackle prospect in the 2017 cycle.

LSU indefinitely suspended sophomore G Edward Ingram for an unspecified violation of team rules.
No current word as to what Ingram did to incur the wrath of HC Ed Orgeron, but it plays to the short term benefit of JUCO transfer Damien Lewis, who received a taste of first-team reps at right guard during Saturday’s practice. Ingram burst onto the scene with the Tigers this past season, when he jumped from signing as a four-star recruit in the winter to starting 12 games for the most recent campaign. It’s unknown how long Ingram might be in the doghouse for.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department told The Advocate that indefinitely suspended LSU sophomore G Edward Ingram had been arrested on two counts of sexual assault on Aug. 2.
LSU had offered only a boilerplate “violation of team rules” in relation to Ingram’s suspension at the beginning of preseason camp. According to authorities in Dallas, he was arrested for assaulting a minor. No further detail was provided, with privacy laws understandably taking precedent in the case. Ingram’s arrest came just one day before LSU opened camp. Ingram was a 12-game starter a year ago, but there are clearly some major legal concerns which must be addressed before he plays football again.
