  • CHI EDGE #91
Bears selected Miami (OH) DE Dominique Robinson with the No. 174 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
A former dual-threat high school quarterback, Robinson (6’5/253) played wide receiver before moving to edge in 2020. Though he didn’t start a single game on defense, Robinson still received third-team All-Mac accolades after rolling up 29 tackles, 8.5 TFLs, and 4.5 sacks in a situational pass rusher role. Usually a marginally productive MAC reserve pass rusher wouldn’t raise many eyebrows among the draft community, but Robinson put up a 99th-percentile 41-inch vertical, 4.19 shuttle (95th), 10-foot-1 broad jump (87th), and 4.72 (84th). Yet another player who benefitted from gaining an extra year of eligibility due to the pandemic, Robinson needs major refinement, but has the requisite athleticism and reported coachability to earn a shot at making Chicago’s final roster.
