UCF redshirt sophomore CB Divaad Wilson has been ejected for targeting in Tuesday’s RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl against BYU.
Wilson did not play for the Knights early on this year, but came on as a strong contributor towards the end. In three performances to end the season, Wilson racked up eight tackles, a forced fumble, and a pass defense. Alas, Wilson has now been kicked off from Tuesday’s game over a targeting call, meaning his 2020 season is effectively over. At least Wilson has two more seasons of eligibility and will be back to play next year.

Georgia redshirt sophomore CB Divaad Wilson has entered the transfer portal.
Wilson (6'0/195) started two games as a redshirt freshman last year for the Bulldogs after signing on with the program in 2018 as a four-star recruit. In a tweet announcing the decision, Wilson said that he wanted to move to a program that was closer to his home. He played his high school ball in Miami, so a move to a Florida program could be in line, but that’s purely speculation. If Wilson does not receive a waiver from the NCAA, he’ll have to sit out the 2021 season at whatever program he moves to; assuming it’s an FBS school, of course.

Florida received a verbal commitment from 2018 CB Divaad Wilson.
Wilson has yet to draw a star rating from either Rivals or Scout, but his stock as a recruit figures to clarify over the spring and summer camp circuit. That might already be starting, as Rivals recruiting analyst Rob Cassidy notes that the 5-foot-11, 172-pounder was “one of the most impressive prospects at South Florida Express tryouts a week ago.” Wilson plays his high school ball at Northwestern High in Miami.

Rivals recruiting analysts Rob Cassidy and Woody Wommack view Florida four-star 2018 verbal CB commit Divaad Wilson as one of the hottest prospects in the cycle.
Wilson pledged himself to Florida’s 2018 cause just after National Signing Day for the 2017 cycle wrapped on February 1. On Saturday, he was one of the standout performers at the Adidas East Coast Invitational. The Rivals team notes that “few prospects have seen their stock rise more quickly.” While the 5-foot-11, 172-pounder out of Miami is firmly in the Gators’ corner at this juncture, he figures to take offseason visits to other programs.

Georgia four-star 2018 DB Divaad Wilson tore his ACL in a Sunday practice.
Wilson was an early enroll for the Bulldogs in the 2018 class, and was expected to compete for playing time this fall. The defensive back announced the injury on a tweet that he has since deleted. He was ranked 26th at the cornerback position in the 2018 class by 247 Sports.

According to The Athletic’s Seth Emerson, Georgia freshman DB Divaad Wilson (knee) is “progressing well” in his rehab.
Wilson (5'11/172) sustained a torn ACL near the end of March. Just how close he is to on-field work remains to be seen, with his status for Georgia’s regular-season opener against Austin Peay on Sept. 1 to be determined closer to kickoff. The defensive back was a four-star recruit in Georgia’s monster 2018 signing class.

Georgia signed uncommitted four-star 2018 CB Divaad Wilson.
Wilson (5'11/172) had been committed to Florida up until the end of November, after which he opted to reopen matters. Landing as ESPN 300’s No. 250 overall prospect in the 2018 class, the Miami native has the requisite length, athleticism and nose for the ball, but his footwork remains a work-in-progress and he’ll need to pad out his frame with the Bulldogs.
