Nebraska CB Dicaprio Bootle was clocked at 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash during his school’s Pro Day on Tuesday.
Bootle (5'10/195) had himself a day as, in addition to the fast 40 time, he also recorded a 36.5-inch vertical, a 10-foot, 7-inch broad jump and 16 reps in the bench press. A third team all-Big Ten selection in 2018, Bootle earned honorable mention honors in both 2019 and 2020. He has been projected by multiple draft analysts as a likely UDFA, but Bootle’s showing at Nebraska’s Pro Day may get him on the radar as a possible late-Day 3 selection.
