The Eagles will go with Sheldon Brown, Lito Sheppard, and Rod Hood as their top three corners this week.

Philadelphia is remarkably healthy and continues to play teams that are missing key performers. Carolina is up for week six.

Wynn is insurance for Lito Sheppard, who may miss a few weeks because he’s injured. Roderick Hood will likely get the start(s) but Wynn adds depth.

Wynn will be evaluated by the Eagles on Monday.

Other Eagle inactives are defensive end Jerome McDougle, fullback Thomas Tapeh, offensive linemen Trey Darilek and Ian Allen, and defensive tackle Paul Grasmanis. Jeff Blake is the team’s third quarterback.

This is a huge sign that Brian Westbrook will return punts today. Other inactive Eagles: third quarterback Jeff Blake, running back Eric McCoo, defensive end Jamaal Green, offensive linemen Trey Darilek and Ian Allen, wide receiver Billy McMullen and defensive tackle Paul Grasmanis.

Wynn was added to the roster in desperation last December after sitting out the majority of the season. His career could be over.

The first two were camp depth behind Jacques Reeves and Fred Bennett.

Wynn adds depth to a deep secondary and can play special teams. Williams’ knee woes have become chronic and may ultimately threaten his career.
