According to Pro Football Focus, Georgia DL Devonte Wyatt had the best pass rush grade amongst all power five defensive linemen.
The stock of Wyatt (6'3/304) has soared during the predraft process and is confidently a Day 1 pick. When you look at him, he quickly gains the advantage off the snap as he often beats his offensive counterpart with his explosive first step. That’s one of the reasons PFF gave him a pass-rush grade of 84.0, which tops all draft-eligible power five defensive linemen. He finished this season with 78 pressures, which is the most among SEC defensive tackles since 2019.

The Draft Network’s JB Butler compares Georgia DL Devonte Wyatt to Maliek Collins.
Everything just clicked for Wyatt (6'3/304) in his senior season and with a great showing at the Senior Bowl and then the combine, it has a lot of teams high on him. We see his first step off the snap is explosive and has great hand and foot technique to break through the gap. Butler looks at Wyatt and sees a similarity to Maliek Collins who’s been a solid and productive interior lineman in the league. He’s getting a lot of first-round hype and we’ll see if he can live up to it.

Underdog Fantasy’s Josh Norris reports Georgia DL Devonte Wyatt is visiting with the Green Bay Packers.
Green Bay is in need of help along the defensive line, and Wyatt (6'3/304) would fill that need in a big way. One of the more athletic DL in this year’s draft, Wyatt was a staple of Georgia’s national championship line in 2021. He blazed a 4.77 40-yard dash at the combine, and totaled 39 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks in 2021.

Georgia DT Devonte Wyatt is unrivaled by his SEC counterparts in getting pressure -- and that isn’t just isolated to the 2021 season.

Georgia DT Devonte Wyatt ran a 4.77 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.
These Georgia boys are out here just running circles around the competition, of course, that’s a metaphor because they run in a straight line for the 40-yard dash. But Wyatt (6'3/304) and his Georgia defensive line counterpart Jordan Davis are putting people on notice with their 40 times. Davis at 341 lbs ran a 4.78 40-yard, then Wyatt did .01 better as he ran 4.77 at 304lbs. We saw all season how impressive this Georgia defensive unit was and now we’re seeing it again through the athleticism these guys have. Both Wyatt and Davis should be shooting up draft boards and the latest mocks will reflect that.

According to ESPN NFL Draft Analyst Matt Miller, former Georgia DT Devonte Wyatt could post combine numbers similar to those of Los Angeles Rams DT Aaron Donald.
Miller Tweeted on Thursday that Wyatt (6'3/315) us rumored to be an athletic freak that could run a 40-yard dash somewhere in the 4.7 range. When Donald tested at the combine in 2014, he ran a 4.68 40-yard dash while also posting a 32-inch vertical leap and 35 reps on the bench press. Donald is known not only for his dominant style of play, but his elite athleticism that allows him to make so many plays on the field. Currently listed at 315-pounds, Wyatt will likely come in heavier than the 285-pounds Donald weighed in at. Posting numbers similar to Donald while at a heaver weight would get scouts buzzing about the former Georgia Bulldog.

The criminal trespass case against Georgia senior DL Devonte Wyatt has been dismissed.
Wyatt (6'3/301) was arrested in February and charged with misdemeanor counts of family violence, criminal trespass and damage to property. Following that arrest, UGA HC Kirby Smart indicated that discipline would be handled in house. The senior defensive lineman was able to avoid a suspension with this one. And is now in the legal clear. As a county official summed it up, “After carefully reviewing the evidence and consulting with the alleged victim, we decided to dismiss the case in the interests of justice.” Wyatt logged 30 tackles with a sack across 13 games played last season.

Georgia senior DL Devonte Wyatt was arrested Tuesday on misdemeanor counts of family violence, criminal trespass and damage to property.
Wyatt (6'3/301) was arrested in relation to an alleged incident from last Friday. Per the UGA police department, following a 911 call reporting a fight, it was determined that the senior defensive lineman had gotten into an argument with a woman (who he lived with on an on-again, off-again basis, hence the “family violence” charge listed above) and at one point allegedly kicked the woman’s door on repeat. Georgia HC Kirby Smart indicated that discipline for Wyatt would be handled internally, so at least at this juncture, it does not appear that a suspension will be coming his way.
